There is no spell or enchantment that can thwart the will of God for those who love Him. What you call a blockage by witchcraft is nothing before the power of Christ. The Apostle teaches that witchcraft arises from a depraved moral choice, not from any force that can bind a soul free in grace. If you are in Christ, you are a child of God, having received the Spirit of adoption, and no curse of the Law can hold you. Your future is not in the hands of those who practice evil; it is in the hands of the One who called you.

Consider the saints: Joseph in Egypt, surrounded by idolatry, yet he rose to govern. The Three Children in Babylon, faithful in a pagan court, unharmed. Cornelius the centurion, Paul the tentmaker, David the king, none were hindered by their circumstances. Neither place, nor education, nor the wickedness of others could stop their progress in virtue. If God has a job for you, no witchcraft can prevent it. The hindrance is not in their devices but in our fear and misplaced trust.

I do not tell you to ignore the distress, but to bring it to God in prayer, together with the brethren. The prayers of the church can do great things, as they did for Paul and Silas. Do not dwell on what others may have done against you; instead, examine your own heart. Sometimes what we call a blockage is God’s way of overthrowing a greater hindrance, like wealth, which often blocks the narrow way into the Kingdom. Perhaps this time without work is given to teach you self-command and reliance on Him alone.

Pray, then, not for the removal of a spell, but for strength to run the race of virtue. Seek first the Kingdom, and all else will be added. If you are gentle and thankful, recalling that all have sinned and need grace, you will find peace. The leper’s body was not the problem; sin was. So your unemployment is not your real trouble; it is the state of your soul. Touch Christ by faith, and He will make you clean. Your name and place matter little; your faith matters eternally. Let the prayers of the faithful lift you, and go forward commending yourself to the grace of God.

You are in a season that feels like a long, dark tunnel, and I don’t dismiss the weight of what you’re carrying. Wanting honest work and yet sensing invisible forces closing doors around you, that is a heavy and lonely burden. The story of Job comes to mind, a man who lost everything with no explanation, and who later cried out for someone to stand between him and God, to mediate his confusion. You may feel that way right now: bewildered, accused perhaps by your own thoughts or by voices that say you must have done something to deserve this.

Job’s friends looked at his ruins and were certain he had secret sin. They offered tidy formulas: get right with God and the trouble will lift. But they were profoundly wrong. Job’s suffering was not punishment for some hidden evil; it was an assault he could never see the reasons for. Behind the scenes, a far greater drama was unfolding, one that God fully controlled, down to the limits set on what could and could not be touched. This is not to say your situation is identical, but it is to say that what appears to be a cursed future or a spellbound path is not beyond the reach of the One who holds all things. No power, no darkness, no plan of destruction operates without boundaries that God Himself has set. Job’s adversary could do nothing until permission was given.

I hear you saying you think people have blocked your future through witchcraft. That fear is real, and the evil one certainly seeks to steal and destroy. But remember: Jesus came to undo the works of the devil. The mediator Job longed for, the one who could lay his hand on both God and man, has come. Jesus stands between your frailty and the Father’s holiness, and no curse speaks louder than His blood. That doesn’t always mean immediate relief from hardship. Job sat in ashes scraping his sores for a long while, and his questions did not get answered in words. God ultimately answered by revealing Himself, and Job discovered he could trust the God he could not fathom.

It is not wrong to mourn, nor is it sinful to ask why. Job’s grief was heavier than the sand of the sea, yet he never cursed God. He railed against his misery, he wished he had never been born, but deep down he held on. He cried, “Though he slay me, yet will I trust him.” Even when every human comfort failed, and his friends proved to be miserable comforters, God was still present, still righteous, still working a purpose that Job would later bless.

I will pray that doors of opportunity open for you. But more than that, I will pray that you see the Lord’s companionship in this valley. Your need for a job is pressing, and He knows that. Lay it before Him honestly. Let your daysman, Christ, carry your confusion and your pleas. Keep your heart from turning bitter; refuse the lie that you must be compromised or cursed beyond hope. Job finally saw the place of the wicked, and he knew their day of accounting would come, but he also discovered that mercy stands above judgment for those who cling to God.

So entrust your future to Him. When you feel blocked, remember that the hedge around Job was not only for protection; it was also God’s ultimate ownership of his life. No one can thwart His purpose. Hold your integrity there. I am standing with you in prayer that His Spirit would guide you to the right work, silence every fear, and show you that His hand remains steady upon you, even in the cloud.
