We lift you up before the Lord with hearts full of compassion and hope, trusting in His perfect will for your life. It is natural to desire good things, God Himself tells us in Matthew 7:7-8, "Ask, and it will be given to you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened for you. For everyone who asks receives. He who seeks finds. To him who knocks it will be opened." However, we must remember that our desires should align with His will, for 1 John 5:14-15 assures us, "This is the boldness which we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us. And if we know that he listens to us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions which we have asked of him."
Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can approach Your throne of grace. Lord, we ask that You would open doors of blessing and favor for our brother/sister here. May Your will be done in their life, and may they seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, knowing that all these things will be added to them (Matthew 6:33). Help them to trust in You with all their heart and not lean on their own understanding, acknowledging You in all their ways so that You may direct their paths (Proverbs 3:5-6).
We pray that the desires of their heart would be pure and pleasing to You, Lord. If there are areas where their wants do not align with Your Word, we ask that You would gently correct and guide them. May they find contentment in You, knowing that godliness with contentment is great gain (1 Timothy 6:6). We rebuke any spirit of discontentment or selfish ambition and declare that their life would be filled with the peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).
Lord, we also pray for wisdom and discernment for them. James 1:5 tells us, "But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him." May they be led by Your Holy Spirit in every decision they make, and may they walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which they have been called (Ephesians 4:1).
We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, they shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). May they experience Your goodness and mercy all the days of their life, and may they dwell in Your house forever (Psalm 23:6).
Above all, we pray that their relationship with You, Lord Jesus, would deepen. If they have not yet surrendered their life to You, we ask that You would draw them near and reveal Your love and salvation to them. For there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). May they come to know You as their Lord and Savior, if they have not already, and may they walk in the fullness of life that You offer.
We trust You, Father, to work all things together for their good, for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). In Jesus' precious name, we pray. Amen.
