We lift up this heartfelt cry to our Heavenly Father, recognizing the deep longing for comfort, provision, and health. First, we want to affirm the powerful truth that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God the Father. Jesus Himself said, "Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full" (John 16:23-24 WEB). It is clear from Scripture that salvation and access to God come solely through faith in Jesus Christ. "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" (Acts 4:12 WEB). We are so grateful that this request is made in the name of Jesus, for He alone is our mediator and advocate before the Father.
Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, asking that You would indeed be with this dear one every moment of every day. We pray that Your presence would be a tangible comfort, wrapping around them like a warm embrace, reminding them that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who have a contrite spirit (Psalm 34:18 WEB). Lord, we ask that You richly supply all their needs according to Your glorious riches in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19 WEB). Whether those needs are physical, emotional, spiritual, or financial, we trust that You know them intimately and will provide in ways that bring You the most glory.
We also lift up the desire for health and freedom from illness. Father, we know that You are the Great Physician, and we ask that You would bring healing to every part of their body, mind, and spirit. Your Word declares, "Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers" (3 John 1:2 WEB). We pray this over them, asking that You would strengthen their body and guard it from sickness. However, Lord, we also recognize that Your ways are higher than our ways, and Your thoughts are higher than our thoughts (Isaiah 55:8-9 WEB). If there is a purpose in allowing illness or hardship, we pray for the grace to trust You even in those moments, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28 WEB).
We rebuke any spirit of fear, anxiety, or doubt that may be trying to take root in their heart. The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10 WEB). We declare that this dear one is covered by the blood of Jesus, and no weapon formed against them will prosper (Isaiah 54:17 WEB). We pray that they would walk in the peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7 WEB).
Lord, we also ask that You would draw them closer to You through this season. May they seek Your face daily, spending time in Your Word and in prayer, so that their faith may be strengthened. Remind them that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1 WEB). Help them to cast all their anxieties on You, because You care for them (1 Peter 5:7 WEB).
Finally, we pray that they would experience the fullness of joy that comes from knowing You. May their heart be filled with gratitude for all that You have done, are doing, and will do in their life. We declare that they are more than a conqueror through Christ who loves them (Romans 8:37 WEB), and we trust that You will complete the good work You have begun in them (Philippians 1:6 WEB).
In the precious and powerful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
