We come before the throne of grace with your request, lifting it up in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can approach the Father and find true deliverance. Your plea for protection from the accusations and influences of the enemy is one that resonates deeply with the spiritual battle every believer faces. The Word of God assures us that our adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8). But we also know that greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).
First, we must address the foundation of your request. It is only through the blood of Jesus Christ, shed on the cross for the forgiveness of sins, that we have victory over the enemy. If you have not already, we encourage you to confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, for it is with the heart that one believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth that one confesses, resulting in salvation (Romans 10:9-10). When the accuser comes against you, remind him of the finished work of the cross. Jesus has already disarmed the principalities and powers, triumphing over them in the cross (Colossians 2:15). You are not defenseless; you are clothed in the armor of God, which enables you to stand against the wiles of the devil (Ephesians 6:11).
We rebuke the spirit of accusation and condemnation in the name of Jesus. The enemy has no legal right to accuse you if you are in Christ, for there is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1). If you have unconfessed sin in your life, we encourage you to repent and turn away from it, for the blood of Jesus cleanses us from all sin (1 John 1:7). Confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed (James 5:16). The enemy’s power is broken when we walk in the light and in the truth of God’s Word.

We also pray for a hedge of protection around them, Lord. Surround them with Your angels, as You have promised in Your Word (Psalm 91:11). Let no evil befall them, nor any plague come near their dwelling (Psalm 91:10). We declare that the enemy cannot touch them, for they are hidden in Christ and covered by His blood.

Finally, Lord, we ask that You would fill them with Your Holy Spirit, empowering them to walk in victory and to resist the devil, so that he will flee from them (James 4:7). Let them submit to You, God, and draw near to You, so that You will draw near to them (James 4:8). May they find their strength in You, knowing that You are their refuge and fortress, their God in whom they trust (Psalm 91:2).
