We come before the throne of grace with your request, lifting it up in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Your plea for protection from the accusations and presence of the enemy is one that resonates deeply with us, for we know the schemes of the devil are real and relentless. Yet, we also know that greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).
First, we must address the truth that in Christ, you are already victorious. The enemy may seek to accuse you, but Scripture declares, "Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, yes rather, who was raised from the dead, who is at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us" (Romans 8:33-34). The blood of Jesus has already silenced every accusation against you, for there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1). When the enemy comes to remind you of your past, you must stand firm in the truth that your sins have been washed away by the blood of the Lamb (Revelation 12:11).
We rebuke the lies of the enemy in your life, in the name of Jesus. The devil may seek to torment you with fear, doubt, or shame, but we declare that he has no power over you. Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil (1 John 3:8), and through His death and resurrection, He has disarmed the principalities and powers, making a public spectacle of them (Colossians 2:15). You are not fighting for victory—you are fighting from victory. The enemy is already a defeated foe, and his accusations hold no weight in the courts of heaven.
We pray that you would stand firm in the full armor of God, as Ephesians 6:10-18 instructs. Put on the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. With this armor, you can withstand every fiery dart of the enemy. We pray that you would wield the Word of God with authority, speaking it over your life and circumstances. When the enemy whispers lies, counter them with the truth of Scripture. When he accuses, remind him of the finished work of the cross.
Father God, we ask that You would surround this dear one with Your holy angels, as Psalm 91:11-12 promises: "For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways. They will bear you up in their hands, so that you won’t dash your foot against a stone." Let Your angels encamp around them, Lord, to protect and defend them from every attack of the enemy. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and every tongue that rises against them in judgment shall be condemned.
We also pray for a deep revelation of your identity in Christ. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but Jesus came that you might have life and have it abundantly. You are a child of God, redeemed by the blood of the Lamb, and seated with Christ in heavenly places (Ephesians 2:6). The enemy has no claim on you, for you belong to the King of kings and Lord of lords. We pray that you would walk in the authority that Christ has given you, resisting the devil so that he will flee from you (James 4:7).
Lord, we ask that You would fill this one with Your Holy Spirit, empowering them to live a life that is pleasing to You. Let Your Spirit bear fruit in their life—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23). As they draw near to You, draw near to them (James 4:8). Let them experience Your presence in a tangible way, so that the enemy’s lies are drowned out by the truth of Your love.
We also encourage you to examine your heart and life for any areas where the enemy may have gained a foothold. The Bible warns us, "Neither give place to the devil" (Ephesians 4:27). Are there unconfessed sins, unforgiveness, bitterness, or areas of disobedience that need to be addressed? If so, we urge you to repent and turn away from these things, for the enemy thrives in darkness. Confess your sins to the Lord, and He is faithful and just to forgive you and cleanse you from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). Walk in the light, and the blood of Jesus will continue to cleanse you from all sin.
Finally, we declare that the name of Jesus is above every name, and at the name of Jesus, every knee shall bow, in heaven, on earth, and under the earth (Philippians 2:9-10). We command every demonic spirit of accusation, torment, fear, and oppression to flee in the name of Jesus. We break every curse, every word spoken against this one, and every assignment of the enemy in Jesus’ name. We declare that they are covered by the blood of Jesus, sealed by the Holy Spirit, and hidden in Christ.
Heavenly Father, we thank You for the victory that is already ours in Christ. We thank You that the enemy is under our feet, and we walk in the authority of Jesus’ name. Strengthen this dear one, Lord, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Let them know that You are their refuge and fortress, their God in whom they trust (Psalm 91:2). We pray all these things in the mighty, matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
