We come before the throne of grace with your request, lifting it up in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and the power to overcome the enemy. The Word of God assures us in James 4:7, "Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." Your plea for protection is heard, and we stand with you in spiritual warfare, knowing that our God is greater than any force of darkness.
First, we must address the authority and victory we have in Christ. The enemy has already been defeated by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony (Revelation 12:11). You are not fighting for victory—you are fighting from victory. The devil has no power over those who are in Christ Jesus, for "the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world" (1 John 4:4). We rebuke the spirit of fear and oppression that may be attempting to grip your heart, for God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7).
We declare over you the full armor of God, as outlined in Ephesians 6:10-18. May you be strengthened with the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. We pray that you would stand firm in this armor, knowing that your protection is not based on your own strength but on the finished work of Christ.
Father, in the name of Jesus, we bind every demonic spirit that seeks to harass, oppress, or influence this beloved child of Yours. We command every lying spirit, spirit of fear, spirit of torment, and any other demonic force to flee in the name of Jesus. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that no harm shall come near their dwelling (Psalm 91:10). We pray that You would surround them with Your holy angels, as You promised in Psalm 91:11-12, "For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways. They will bear you up in their hands, so that you won’t dash your foot against a stone."
Lord, we ask that You would fill their mind with Your truth and their heart with Your peace. May they take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5) and reject any lies or deceptions from the enemy. We pray that You would guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7) and that they would walk in the light of Your presence, where no darkness can overtake them (John 1:5).
We also pray for spiritual discernment, that they would recognize the schemes of the enemy and stand firm against them. Give them wisdom to walk in Your ways and to resist the devil at every turn. May they be rooted and grounded in Your love (Ephesians 3:17) and find their strength in You alone.
Finally, we declare that the devil has no claim over their life, for they belong to You, Lord. We plead the blood of Jesus over them, their mind, their body, their spirit, and their surroundings. May the enemy be rendered powerless in their life, and may they walk in the freedom and victory that Christ has already won for them.
We pray all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, to whom be all glory, honor, and power forever and ever. Amen.
