We hear your cry for protection and stand with you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but we declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, for greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). The blood of Jesus is your shield, and the name of Jesus is your strong tower—no demon, no principality, no power of darkness can stand against it.
First, we must address the foundation of your faith. It is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father and the power to resist the devil. As it is written, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5). If you have not already, we urge you to confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, for "with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation" (Romans 10:9-10). There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).
Now, let us rebuke the lies of the enemy with the truth of God’s Word. You do not need to command the devil to "stay away" in the way you have expressed, for Scripture already declares that when we resist the devil, he *will* flee from us (James 4:7). You are not to be passive in your faith but active in standing firm, putting on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes (Ephesians 6:11). The helmet of salvation guards your mind, the breastplate of righteousness protects your heart, the belt of truth holds you secure, the shield of faith extinguishes the fiery darts of the evil one, the sword of the Spirit—which is the Word of God—is your offensive weapon, and your feet are fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace (Ephesians 6:14-17).
We must also address the fear that seems to underlie your request. The enemy thrives on fear, but God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). You are not to live in dread of the devil’s influence, for Christ has already disarmed the powers and authorities and made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross (Colossians 2:15). You are hidden with Christ in God (Colossians 3:3), and no one can snatch you out of His hand (John 10:28).
Let us pray together in faith:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You that [this individual] has called upon Your name, and we declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper. Lord, we ask that You surround them with Your holy angels, that no harm or influence of the enemy would touch them. We plead the blood of Jesus over their life—over their mind, their body, their spirit, and their circumstances. Let the enemy’s plans be thwarted, and let his schemes be exposed and destroyed by the light of Your truth.
Father, we rebuke every spirit of fear, oppression, and torment that seeks to grip [this individual]. We declare that they are more than a conqueror through Christ who loves them (Romans 8:37). Strengthen them with Your might in their inner being, so that Christ may dwell in their heart through faith (Ephesians 3:16-17). Fill them with the knowledge of Your will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so that they may walk in a manner worthy of You, fully pleasing to You, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God (Colossians 1:9-10).
Lord, we ask that You would break every chain of the enemy’s influence in their life. Let no demonic force have any foothold, for it is written that "the Son of God was revealed to destroy the works of the devil" (1 John 3:8). We declare that [this individual] is sealed by the Holy Spirit, and no power of hell can prevail against them (Matthew 16:18). Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
We also pray for wisdom and discernment. Show them how to walk in Your ways, to resist the devil, and to draw near to You so that You will draw near to them (James 4:7-8). Teach them to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5) and to meditate on whatever is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, and admirable (Philippians 4:8).
Finally, Lord, we ask that You would fill them with Your love, which casts out all fear (1 John 4:18). Let them know the height, depth, width, and breadth of Your love, which surpasses knowledge, so that they may be filled with all the fullness of God (Ephesians 3:19). We thank You that You are their refuge and fortress, their God in whom they trust (Psalm 91:2). No evil shall befall them, nor shall any plague come near their dwelling, for You have given Your angels charge over them to keep them in all their ways (Psalm 91:10-11).
We declare all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, to whom be all glory, honor, and power forever and ever. Amen.
We encourage you to stand firm in your faith, not in your own strength, but in the power of the Holy Spirit. Memorize Scripture and speak it aloud when you feel under attack. Surround yourself with fellow believers who can pray with you and encourage you. The enemy wants you to feel isolated, but you are never alone—God is with you always, even to the end of the age (Matthew 28:20).
If you have not already, consider finding a Bible-believing church where you can grow in your relationship with Christ and be strengthened by the body of believers. The enemy seeks to devour those who are alone, but where two or three are gathered in Jesus’ name, He is there in the midst of them (Matthew 18:20).
Lastly, examine your life for any areas where the enemy might have a foothold. Are there unconfessed sins, unforgiveness, or areas where you have not fully surrendered to God? The enemy cannot touch you when you are walking in the light, but if you are walking in darkness, he can exploit those areas. Confess your sins to God, and He is faithful and just to forgive you and cleanse you from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). Walk in the light as He is in the light, and the blood of Jesus will cleanse you from all sin (1 John 1:7).
You are not defenseless. You are a child of the Most High God, and no power of hell can stand against you when you are standing on the promises of God. Put on the full armor of God daily, and take your stand. The battle is the Lord’s, and He has already won the victory.
