Disciple of Prayer
his always in his phone scrolling up and down, his staying with his father and grandma, we got divorce when my son was small, he went to his father cause i didn't have any thing no job no house, now my teenage son always on his phone he doesn't like to study, even at school he doesn't concentrate. I'm praying for my son day and night, please pray for my son it breaks my heart to see him like this, I'm praying my son should stay with me, he doesn't care about his future. Jesus please my father change him, don't let him be like the worldly people, I believe Jesus will change him. there's nothing my God can not do, everything is possible in him.

We hear your heartache, dear sister, and we stand with you in prayer for your son. The pain of seeing a child stray from the path of discipline and purpose is heavy, but we know that our God is mighty to save and transform even the most wayward hearts. We lift your son before the Lord, asking that He would draw near to him in this season and reveal Himself in a powerful way.

First, we must address the reality of your son’s current environment. Scripture tells us, *"Do not be deceived: 'Bad company corrupts good morals.'" (1 Corinthians 15:33 WEB)*. While we do not judge your son’s father or grandmother, we must acknowledge that the influences around him—including excessive phone use, lack of discipline, and disengagement from his studies—are not aligning with God’s best for his life. We rebuke the spirit of distraction and laziness that has taken hold of him, and we declare that God’s purpose for his life will not be stolen by the empty pursuits of this world.

You mentioned your desire for your son to live with you, and we believe this is a righteous desire if it means he would be raised in an environment that honors God. However, we must also encourage you to examine your own heart and home. Are you in a place where you can provide not just physically, but spiritually for your son? Have you sought the Lord’s wisdom in how to guide him with both love and firm boundaries? Proverbs 22:6 says, *"Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it."* This is not a guarantee of an easy path, but it is a promise that godly training will bear fruit in due time.

We also want to gently address the issue of divorce and its impact on your son. While we do not condemn you—God’s grace covers all sin when we repent—we must acknowledge that divorce often leaves deep wounds in children, even when it seems like the only option. Your son may be acting out of pain, confusion, or a sense of abandonment, even if he doesn’t realize it. We pray that God would heal those wounds in his heart and restore what has been broken. We also pray that you would have wisdom in how to speak to him about his father, ensuring that you do not sow bitterness but instead model Christlike love and forgiveness.

Now, let us pray:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts for this precious young man. Lord, You see his struggles, his distractions, and his lack of direction. We ask that You would break through the noise in his life—whether it’s the endless scrolling, the influences around him, or the lies he may be believing about himself. Father, we rebuke the spirit of apathy and rebellion in his life, and we declare that he is called for a purpose. You have plans for him, plans for good and not for evil, to give him a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11).

We pray for divine intervention in his heart. Soften him, Lord. Let him feel Your presence in a real and tangible way. Speak to him through Your Word, through godly mentors, and even through the consequences of his choices. We ask that You would surround him with people who will point him toward You, not toward the empty things of this world.

Father, we also lift up this mother. Strengthen her, Lord. Give her wisdom in how to love her son without enabling his poor choices. Help her to set boundaries with both grace and truth. Provide for her needs so that she can be in a position to care for her son if that is Your will. Heal any bitterness or pain in her heart from the past, and let her be a vessel of Your love and truth to her son.

We pray for the father and grandmother as well. Soften their hearts, Lord. If there are ways they are contributing to this season in the boy’s life, convict them and lead them to repentance. Let them see the importance of raising him in the fear and admonition of the Lord (Ephesians 6:4).

Most of all, we pray that this young man would come to know You, Jesus, as His Lord and Savior. Strip away the distractions, the worldly influences, and the lies he’s believed. Let him see his need for You and surrender his life to Your will. We declare that he will not be like the worldly people around him, but he will be set apart for Your glory.

We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). Amen.

Sister, we want to encourage you to keep praying, but also to take action where you can. If your son is open to it, spend time with him—take him to church, read the Bible together, or simply talk to him about his future. If he is resistant, pray for opportunities to speak truth into his life in ways he can receive. And remember, even when it feels like nothing is changing, God is at work. Your prayers are not in vain. Stand firm in faith, and trust that God will move in His perfect timing.

Praying for you and your request in Jesus.

Have we ever really meditated on Matthew 6 where Jesus instructs us to take no thought for our lives? I have looked at this in terms of the rest of the Bible where I have learned to claim His Promises in Jesus and take on His thoughts for my life. Thank You Lord Jesus for Blessing me to learn to stop thinking about my life, learn to take on Your thoughts for my life and so much more for Your Glory and my good in Jesus! Amen! Thank You Jesus! Glory to You Lord Jesus!!!

Do you Believe Jesus died for our sins, is Risen from the dead, is Preparing a place for us and is about to call us to join Him?

Are you watching for Jesus in the Clouds of Glory? Jesus is about to call us to join Him!

We can do everything Jesus did and more! We can speak; sickness leave in Jesus! Be healed by Jesus stripes! I am healed by Jesus stripes! Amen! Thank You Lord Jesus!

You can copy and paste this to pray every day and share...

There is nothing that happens for us that is bad except our thoughts about what is happening to us. The Bible says All things work together for our good in Jesus! Look at everything as good!

Sing through out your days Thank You Jesus, Praise You Jesus, Glory to You Lord Jesus or anything that is on your heart to sing to Jesus! It doesn't matter how we sound, Angels will join in with us and Jesus will join in with us as well as fight for us, knock down walls for us, open locks for us, save people for us, evil will flee from us, He heals us and He will over flow His Holy Peace in us.

Praying for others on here and reading your Bible will help you tremendously.

I wanted to commit suicide once, I even came up with a plan. Right before I headed out the door I posted a prayer on here and hoping there might be help from God one last time I opened the Bible and only read take no thought for your life from Matthew 6. I read that before at least 100 times but never really could understand how. This time I took it to heart, all right God I will end my life by not thinking about it. I take no thought, I take no thought, I take no thought over and over and over again I take no thought was my only thought that day. All of a sudden I noticed something, Jesus showed up, all my pains were gone, no neck ache, no back pain, no leg pain from many many accidents I had over the years and no pain in my heart as my wife had left me. I started singing praises and thanks to Jesus and my life has never been the same. My wife returned. It is our obedience to God from His Holy Instructions that makes a difference to His Power of His Promises in our lives.

Be a doer of Jesus friend, it really makes a difference! Thank You Lord Jesus! All things work together for my good in Jesus!

Search the Bible for Jesus' Promises friend, do them and claim them in Jesus! Amen! Thank You Lord Jesus! Glory to You Lord Jesus!!!

Let Us Pray: God I ask in Jesus' name, bless me to grow closer to You. I long for a more intimate relationship with You. God I take You at Your Word, if I will draw closer to You, You will draw closer to me (James 4:8). Show me how to draw closer to You. Bless me daily to cast off and forsake my thoughts and ways for my life, and exchange them for Your thoughts and ways for my life. Let me think Your thoughts and dream Your dreams for my life. God bless me to live and walk in Your love, mercy and forgiveness (Isaiah 55:7). I confess, I will take no thought for my life. I will trust You Father God to take thought for me and take care of me (Mathew 6:25-34). I will not be wise in my own eyes, I will fear You Lord and depart from evil and my flesh will be healed and my body will be refreshed (Proverbs 3:7-8) daily. Thank You Jesus for Your Promises! Lord make me the Child of God You need me to be in Christ for all those around me and for the world to see (Psalms 128:3). Not by my might, nor by my power, but by Your Spirt Christ Jesus (Zechariah 4:6) this shall happen. And it will happen, it is happening now in Your timing, Power, Strength, Might, and Spirit, Christ Jesus. God all that I have asked of you in this prayer please do the same for all those I love, care about, and every faithful prayer warrior on this site.
