Disciple of Prayer
I’m humbly asking for my daughter’s recovery as she’s currently in a rehab facility. She was diagnosed with bipolar disorder about ### years ago and the last few months has been tough for us. She got addicted to gambling and stole a significant amount of money from us. I wasn’t there for her when she was growing up and I wish I had spent more time with her. I wish God would forgive me as I hurt her through words, emotionally and physically. She was sexually abused and I wish I could’ve protected her. Please pray for my daughter and our family.

We lift your heartfelt request before the Lord, knowing that He is the God of restoration, healing, and redemption. Your sorrow and regret for the past are deeply felt, but we must remind you that God’s grace is greater than our failures. The Scriptures assure us that *"if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9, WEB). You have acknowledged your shortcomings before God, and we believe He has forgiven you. Now, you must also forgive yourself and trust in His mercy, for *"there is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus"* (Romans 8:1, WEB). The enemy would love to keep you bound by guilt, but Christ has set you free—walk in that freedom as you seek to support your daughter.

Your daughter’s struggles with bipolar disorder, addiction, and the trauma of abuse are heavy burdens, but nothing is too difficult for our God. The Lord promises in Jeremiah 32:27, *"Behold, I am Yahweh, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for me?"* (WEB). We pray that she would encounter the healing power of Jesus in rehab, that her mind would be renewed by the truth of God’s Word, and that the lies of the enemy—shame, hopelessness, and addiction—would be broken in her life. *"Don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God"* (Romans 12:2, WEB).

We also pray for the restoration of trust within your family. The theft has caused deep pain, but we ask God to bring reconciliation as each of you seeks His face. *"Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ"* (Galatians 6:2, WEB). This is a time for patience, love, and unwavering faith. Your daughter needs to see the love of Christ through you—not judgment, but grace paired with truth. Speak life over her, reminding her that she is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14) and that God has a plan for her future (Jeremiah 29:11).

For the sexual abuse she endured, we pray that God would bring deep healing to her heart and soul. *"He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds"* (Psalm 147:3, WEB). May she find her identity in Christ and not in the pain of her past. If she has not already, encourage her to seek godly counseling to walk through this trauma with someone who can guide her biblically.

As for the gambling addiction, we rebuke the spirit of greed and compulsion in Jesus’ name. Addiction is a form of bondage, but *"where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty"* (2 Corinthians 3:17, WEB). We pray that she would surrender this struggle to God daily and that He would fill the void in her heart with His peace and purpose. *"No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it"* (1 Corinthians 10:13, WEB).

Finally, we urge you to cover your family in prayer continually. *"Pray without ceasing"* (1 Thessalonians 5:17, WEB). Gather together in faith, reading Scripture aloud over your home, and declaring God’s promises. The battle is spiritual, and our weapons are *"not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds"* (2 Corinthians 10:4, WEB).

**Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this family and their precious daughter. Lord, You see the brokenness, the pain, and the regret, and we ask that You would pour out Your healing balm upon each heart. Forgive this parent for the ways they fell short, and help them to walk in the freedom of Your grace, no longer bound by guilt but empowered by Your love to be a light to their daughter.

Lord Jesus, we pray for this daughter’s complete restoration—mind, body, and spirit. Break every chain of addiction, every stronghold of mental illness, and every lie of the enemy that tells her she is unworthy or beyond hope. Surround her with Your presence in rehab, and let her encounter You in a way that transforms her life. Heal the deep wounds of abuse, and replace her shame with Your righteousness. Give her strength to resist temptation and the courage to walk in obedience to You.

Father, we also pray for the family’s unity. Restore what has been broken, and teach them to love one another as You have loved them. Help them to forgive as they have been forgiven, and to extend grace even in the midst of pain. Provide for their financial needs where there has been loss, and give them wisdom to navigate this season with faith and patience.

We rebuke every scheme of the enemy against this family. No weapon formed against them shall prosper, for they are covered by the blood of Jesus. Fill their home with Your peace, Your joy, and Your hope. Let this trial be a testimony of Your faithfulness and power.

In the name of Jesus, we pray, believing that You are working all things together for their good. Amen.***

We're right here with you, sister, holding you up in prayer. We know the weight of regret can be heavy, but remember, God's mercies are new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23). He's forgiven you, and now it's time to forgive yourself. You can't change the past, but you can choose how you move forward. Let's trust God for our daughter's healing and restoration.

We're asking God to fill her with His peace and presence in rehab. May she find comfort in His embrace, knowing she's loved and cherished. We're claiming Psalm 147:3 over her, that God will heal her broken heart and bind up her wounds. We're also praying for complete deliverance from bipolar disorder, addiction, and the trauma of abuse. We're believing for a total transformation, a renewing of her mind, and a revelation of her true identity in Christ (2 Corinthians 3:18, Romans 12:2).

Let's also pray for unity and healing within your family. We're asking God to restore trust and bring reconciliation. We're claiming Galatians 6:2 over your family, that you would bear one another's burdens and fulfill the law of Christ. We're believing for patience, love, and unwavering faith to see you all through this trial.

And let's not forget to cover your family in prayer continually. We're claiming 1 Thessalonians 5:17, praying without ceasing. We're believing for God's promises to be active and alive in your home, that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).

We're standing with you, sister. We're believing for miracles, for healing, for restoration, and for a testimony of God's faithfulness. Let's trust Him together. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
