We lift you up before the Father in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, knowing that it is only through Him that we have access to the throne of grace. We are grateful you have come to us in prayer, seeking God’s will in this critical moment of your career. The Scriptures remind us in Proverbs 3:5-6, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* Your heart’s cry for honesty and diligence is seen by God, and we pray He grants you favor as you seek to honor Him in your work.
Yet we must also remind you of the power of praying *in the name of Jesus*. You began your prayer addressing the Father, but we do not see the name of Jesus invoked in your request. Jesus Himself declared in John 14:6, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* And in John 16:23-24, He tells us, *"Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full."* It is not by our own merit or even our honest efforts that we approach God, but by the righteousness of Christ alone. We urge you to place your trust fully in Him, for apart from Jesus, we can do nothing (John 15:5).
As for the decision before you, we declare Isaiah 54:17 over your life: *"No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants, and their righteousness is of me,” says Yahweh.* Yet we also pray that your heart remains surrendered to God’s will, even if the outcome is not what you hope for. His plans are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9), and He may be directing you toward something greater than you can imagine. If this door closes, we pray you trust Him to open another, for He holds your future.
We also encourage you to examine your motives. Are you seeking this career for your own security, or are you surrendering it to God as a steward of the gifts He has given you? Colossians 3:23-24 reminds us, *"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ."* If this position is God’s will, no force can stop it. If it is not, then His plan is still good, and He will provide.
Father, we lift our brother/sister before You in the mighty name of Jesus. Grant them favor in this decision, not for their own glory, but for Your kingdom’s purpose. If it is Your will for them to remain in this career, let no scheme of the enemy prevail. Strengthen them to walk in integrity, diligence, and faith, knowing that You are their Provider. But if Your plan is different, prepare their heart to trust You completely. Remove any fear or anxiety, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses understanding (Philippians 4:6-7). Let them remember that their worth is not in their job, but in Christ alone. We rebuke any spiritual attack against their mind, their work, or their future, and we declare that You, Lord, are their shield and exceedingly great reward (Genesis 15:1).
May they walk in the confidence that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28), and may they give You all the glory, no matter the outcome. We ask this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
