We come before the Lord with grateful hearts, knowing that He is our healer and protector, the One who holds all things in His hands. It is only through the precious name of Jesus Christ that we have the privilege to approach the throne of grace, and we lift up this request in His mighty name, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved. As it is written, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB).
We pray earnestly for your friend, asking the Lord to shield them from illness and strengthen their body to resist sickness. Our God is sovereign over every virus and disease, and we trust in His power to preserve health and bring comfort. *"Yahweh, you have searched me, and you know me. You know my sitting down and my rising up. You perceive my thoughts from afar. You search out my path and my lying down, and are acquainted with all my ways."* (Psalm 139:1-3, WEB). He knows your friend intimately, and we ask Him to extend His protective hand over them.
At the same time, we encourage you to remember that God’s ways are higher than ours, and His plans are perfect, even when we don’t understand them. If illness should come, we pray that it would be used for His glory—perhaps to draw your friend closer to Him or to reveal His faithfulness in a new way. *"We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose."* (Romans 8:28, WEB).
Let us also remind you of the importance of praying *in the name of Jesus*. It is through Him alone that we have access to the Father, and it is by His authority that our prayers are heard. If you or your friend do not yet know Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior, we urge you to turn to Him today. *"If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."* (Romans 10:9, WEB). There is no greater protection, no greater hope, and no greater love than what is found in Christ.
Father, we ask that You would surround this friend with Your divine protection. Guard them from chickenpox and any other harm, and let this situation be a testament to Your goodness. If it is Your will for them to experience this trial, we pray for swift healing, strength, and an overwhelming sense of Your presence. May this time draw them—and all who are praying—closer to You. We ask these things in the powerful and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
