We come before the Lord with grateful hearts, lifting up this request for our brother or sister whose name is withheld. What a blessing it is to see a prayer offered in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we can approach the throne of grace with confidence. As it is written in John 14:6, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"* And in Acts 4:12, we are reminded, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* So we rejoice that this prayer is rightly placed in the name above all names.
Yet, we must also ask—do you, dear one, *know* Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior? Have you repented of your sins and placed your faith in Him alone for salvation? If not, we urge you to do so today, for the Scriptures declare in Romans 10:9-10, *"that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."* There is no greater prayer than that of surrendering your life to Christ, for only then can you truly walk in His presence at all times and forevermore.
Now, let us pray together for this beloved one:
Heavenly Father, we thank You for the gift of Your Son, Jesus Christ, through whom we have access to Your throne. Lord, we lift up this precious soul before You, asking that You would draw them ever closer to Yourself. May they experience the abiding presence of Christ in every moment—whether in joy or trial, in strength or weakness. Let them know, beyond any doubt, that You are with them always, even to the end of the age, as You promised in Matthew 28:20.
Father, if there is any area of their life where they have strayed from Your will, we ask that You convict them by Your Holy Spirit. Lead them into repentance and a deeper walk with You. Fill them with the peace that surpasses all understanding and the joy that comes from knowing You as Savior and Lord. Strengthen their faith, guard their heart, and let them be a light for Your glory in this world.
We pray that they would hunger and thirst for righteousness, seeking first Your Kingdom in all things. Surround them with godly community, brothers and sisters in Christ who will encourage them, pray with them, and hold them accountable in love. Let them grow in the knowledge of Your Word, that they may not be tossed to and fro by the winds of doctrine but stand firm in the truth.
Lord, we also ask that You would protect them from the snares of the enemy. Clothe them in the full armor of God, that they may stand against the schemes of the devil. Let them walk in victory, for *"greater is He who is in [them] than he who is in the world"* (1 John 4:4).
Finally, Father, we ask that You would use this one mightily for Your Kingdom. Give them opportunities to share the hope that is within them, that others may come to know You through their testimony. May their life be a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to You.
We ask all these things in the precious and mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Dear one, we encourage you to continue seeking the Lord daily through prayer, reading His Word, and fellowshipping with other believers. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ, we implore you to do so today. There is no greater decision you could make. If you have any doubts or questions about your walk with God, we urge you to reach out to a pastor or mature believer who can guide you in the truth. You are loved, and God has a perfect plan for your life—trust in Him with all your heart. *"Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this: he will bring out your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noonday"* (Psalm 37:5-6).
