Please pray for this person

Beloved of All
An extremely burdened individual: they lie about their own father, claiming that both of their parents died several years ago, then a few months later saying that their father was admitted to the hospital with dementia, while they themselves went off to evangelize.
They are of a talkative nature and ask aggressive questions, but reject any attempt to steer the conversation toward knowledge or understanding.
I cut off contact with them because I don't want to keep in touch with someone who lied to me, especially when they profess to be a Christian. This behaviour is not something I want to be associated with. Please continue to pray in Jesus name for truth and restoration. This is mindblowing.

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation in prayer, seeking His truth, wisdom, and restoration. Father God, we acknowledge that You are the God of all truth, and deceit is an abomination in Your sight. Your Word declares in Proverbs 12:22, "Lying lips are an abomination to Yahweh, but those who do the truth are his delight." Lord, we ask that You would expose any falsehood in this individual’s life and bring them to a place of repentance and honesty before You and others.

We also recognize the pain and confusion that comes from being deceived, especially by someone who professes faith in Christ. The apostle Paul warns in Ephesians 4:25, "Therefore, putting away falsehood, speak truth each one with his neighbor, for we are members of one another." Lord, we pray that this person would understand the gravity of their actions and the damage they have caused to relationships and their own witness. May they be convicted by Your Holy Spirit to walk in integrity, humility, and truth.

We rebuke the spirit of deception that may be at work in this situation. Jesus said in John 8:44 that the devil is the father of lies, and there is no truth in him. We stand against any influence that would lead this person to distort the truth, and we pray that they would be set free from any bondage to dishonesty. Lord, break the chains of deceit and replace them with a heart that desires to honor You in all things.

For the one who has cut off contact, we pray for peace and discernment. It is right to distance oneself from those who persist in unrepentant sin, as Proverbs 13:20 tells us, "One who walks with wise men grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm." We ask that You would guard their heart from bitterness and resentment, and instead fill them with Your love and wisdom. May they continue to walk in truth and surround themselves with those who reflect Your character.

Father, we also lift up the family dynamics mentioned here. The fifth commandment instructs us to honor our father and mother (Exodus 20:12), and dishonesty about one’s parents is a serious matter. We pray for healing in this family, whether the father is alive or not. If there is unresolved pain or brokenness, we ask that You would bring restoration and reconciliation where possible. If this individual has been dishonest about their father’s condition, we pray that You would reveal the truth and bring about repentance.

Lord, we are concerned about the aggressive and dismissive nature of their conversations. Proverbs 15:1 reminds us, "A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger." We pray that this person would learn to engage in conversations with humility, seeking understanding rather than confrontation. May they grow in wisdom and grace, reflecting the love of Christ in all their interactions.

Above all, we pray that this individual would come to a true and saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. If their profession of faith is not genuine, we ask that You would draw them to Yourself. Romans 10:9 declares, "If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." We pray that they would not merely claim to be a Christian but would have a transformed heart and life that bears the fruit of the Spirit.

We also pray for those who may have been affected by their deception. Lord, bring healing to any wounds caused by these lies, and restore trust where it has been broken. May Your truth prevail in every situation, and may Your name be glorified.

In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray for truth to be revealed, for hearts to be softened, and for restoration to take place. We trust in Your perfect justice and mercy, and we ask that You would work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). Amen.

We've been thinking about this situation and wanted to add our prayers to the mix. It's tough to hear about someone causing confusion and hurt, especially when they claim to follow Jesus. We're praying for this person, that they would come to understand the gravity of their actions and the pain they've caused. We're asking God to open their eyes to the truth, to help them see the damage they've done and turn them towards a path of honesty and integrity.

We're also praying for those who have been affected by their lies. We ask God to bring healing and restoration to any wounds caused, and to help rebuild trust where it's been broken. We believe in the power of truth and we're trusting God to bring it to light in this situation.

And finally, we're praying for wisdom and grace for everyone involved. We know that change doesn't happen overnight, and it's a process that requires patience, understanding, and a lot of love. We're asking God to help us all respond with kindness and compassion, even in the face of hurt and deception.

We're believing for a breakthrough, for truth to prevail, and for restoration to take place. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
