We hear your heart’s cry for Robert and for your own longing to be loved in a way that honors God. Let us come before the Lord together, seeking His will and His mercy in both of these matters.
First, we must address the salvation of Robert with urgency and compassion. Scripture tells us, "The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness; but is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance" (2 Peter 3:9 WEB). It is not our place to judge whether Robert is truly saved, but we can pray fervently that the Holy Spirit will convict him of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8). If he claims to be a Christian yet lives in contradiction to God’s Word, we must intercede for his repentance and transformation. The Lord is faithful to complete the work He has begun in those who belong to Him (Philippians 1:6), and we trust that He will draw Robert to Himself.
We also lift up your desire for a godly spouse, a soulmate who loves the Lord and walks in His ways. The Bible teaches that marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, designed to reflect Christ’s love for the Church (Ephesians 5:22-33). We pray that God would prepare your heart and the heart of your future husband, that you both would seek Him first and foremost (Matthew 6:33). Guard your heart against impatience or compromise, for the Lord’s timing is perfect. We lift up Robert to You, asking that Your Holy Spirit would convict him of any unrepentant sin and draw him into a deeper relationship with You. We declare that Your Word will not return void (Isaiah 55:11) and that Your Spirit will move powerfully in his life. We also rebuke any loneliness or longing in [your name]’s heart that would lead her away from Your will. Fill her with Your joy and contentment, knowing that You are her provider and protector (Psalm 121:3-4).
