We come before the Lord with a heart of gratitude for this special milestone in ’s life, the receiving of their first holy communion. This is a sacred moment, one that marks a deeper step in their faith journey, and we join with you in seeking God’s blessing over the entire weekend.
Father in Heaven, we lift up to You, asking that this time be filled with Your presence and peace. May their heart be prepared to receive the sacrament with reverence and joy, understanding the significance of Christ’s sacrifice and the gift of His body and blood. We pray that the weekend would be free from distraction or anxiety, and that every moment would be a reflection of Your love and grace. Let this be a time of spiritual growth, not just for , but for their family and community as they celebrate together.
Lord, we also ask that You would guard ’s heart and mind in the days ahead. May this communion be the beginning of a lifelong commitment to walking closely with You, growing in faith, and living out the calling You have placed on their life. Surround them with godly influences, mentors, family, and friends, who will encourage them in their relationship with You.
We must also take a moment to address the foundation of our faith. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father, and it is by His sacrifice alone that we are saved. As it says in Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." If or anyone celebrating with them has not yet surrendered their life to Jesus, we pray that this weekend would be a time of true encounter with Him, not just through tradition, but through a personal relationship with the Savior.
We rebuke any spirit of complacency or religiosity that would seek to replace a genuine heart for God. Let this communion be more than a ritual; let it be a moment where and all present are drawn closer to the love and truth of Christ. May they leave this weekend with a deeper hunger for Your Word, a greater desire to live for You, and a passion to share the gospel with others.

God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You.
