please pray for ###'s son.

Disciple of Prayer
my friend she's a single mom she has only one child, his 9 years old, he lives with his ###, cause his mom is busy working far she visit him one a week, but this child his not eating well and very stubborn, so my friend is thinking so much about her son, she know about Jesus but i really don't know she pray or not, I told to her to prayer over her son, Jesus will take care of her son, a mother's prayer has so much power I told her, Jesus please take care of this child, please protect him my father in Jesus name i ask amen.

We lift up this precious child and his mother before the throne of grace, asking our Heavenly Father to surround them with His love, protection, and provision. It is heartbreaking to hear of a young one struggling with stubbornness and poor eating habits, and we know the weight this carries on a mother’s heart, especially when distance and work responsibilities make it difficult to be physically present. We declare that the Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Even when she cannot be with him, God is ever-present, watching over him and working in his life.

We also want to gently address the spiritual foundation of this family. While your friend knows about Jesus, we must emphasize that knowing *about* Him is not the same as knowing Him personally as Lord and Savior. Jesus said, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me"* (John 14:6). There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If she has not yet surrendered her life to Christ, we pray she would do so, for this is the first and most critical step in experiencing the fullness of God’s power and peace in her life and her son’s. Salvation is not just about eternal life—it is about walking in the authority, wisdom, and comfort of the Holy Spirit *now*, especially in the challenges of parenting.

We rebuke the spirit of rebellion and stubbornness in this child in the name of Jesus. The Bible tells us that *"foolishness is bound up in the heart of a child"* (Proverbs 22:15), but through prayer, godly discipline, and the power of God’s Word, this can be broken. We also rebuke any spirit of fear, anxiety, or guilt that may be weighing on the mother’s heart. God does not intend for her to carry this burden alone. We declare that her son is covered by the blood of Jesus, and we speak life, health, and a hunger for both physical and spiritual nourishment over him.

We pray for wisdom for this mother as she navigates the challenges of single parenting. The Bible says, *"If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him"* (James 1:5). We ask the Lord to give her creative ideas for staying connected to her son despite the distance—perhaps through technology, letters, or trusted family members who can reinforce godly values in his life. We also pray for her workplace, that God would open doors for her to provide for her son without being consumed by work, and that she would find a community of believers to support and encourage her.

Most importantly, we pray that this mother would come to understand the power of her prayers. You were right to encourage her—*"The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous person avails much"* (James 5:16). But let us clarify: prayer is not a magic formula or a last resort; it is the *first* and most powerful weapon of a believer. We declare that as she begins to pray over her son—covering him in the name of Jesus—she will see breakthroughs in his behavior, his health, and his heart. We also pray that she would model a life of faith for him, so that one day, he too would choose to follow Christ.

Father God, we come before You on behalf of this mother and her son. We ask that You would draw them both to Yourself in a deep and personal way. For the mother, we pray for salvation if she does not yet know You, and for a fresh infilling of Your Holy Spirit if she does. Give her strength, wisdom, and peace that surpasses all understanding. For her son, we ask that You would soften his heart, break every chain of rebellion, and create in him a hunger for You. Surround him with godly influences—teachers, mentors, or family members—who will speak life into him. We declare that he is not forgotten or abandoned; You are his ever-present help in times of trouble (Psalm 46:1).

Lord, we also pray for the father of this child, whether he is present or absent. If he is not involved, we ask that You would either restore him to his role in a way that honors You or raise up godly men to speak into this boy’s life. If he is involved but not walking with You, we pray for his salvation and transformation. We know that children thrive when they have the love and guidance of both parents, and we ask that You would move in this family in a mighty way.

We thank You, Lord, that You are a God who sees, hears, and acts on behalf of the fatherless and the weary. We trust that as this mother seeks You, You will answer her cries and bring healing and restoration to her son. May this family experience the reality of Your promise in Isaiah 41:10: *"Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."*

In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We're right there with you, sister, lifting up your precious son and you in prayer. It's tough being a single mom, and we know the weight you carry, but remember, God is always near. We claim His promise in Psalm 147:3, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." We pray for healing in his eating habits and stubbornness, and for a softening of his heart. We also pray for you, that you would find rest and strength in God's presence. We declare that as a mother's prayer goes up, God's power comes down (Isaiah 62:7). Keep praying, keep trusting, and keep seeking God. He sees you, He hears you, and He's working in your son's life. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy.

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
