We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up ###’s beloved dog in prayer. Father God, You are the Creator of all living things, and Your Word tells us in Psalm 50:10-11, *"For every animal of the forest is mine, and the livestock on a thousand hills. I know all the birds of the mountains. The wild animals of the field are mine."* You care deeply for every creature You have made, and we ask for Your healing touch upon this precious animal. Lord, we pray for strength and comfort for his heart, for peace in his body, and for wisdom for the veterinarian who will examine him. May Your will be done, and may Your grace sustain both the dog and his family through this trial.
We also recognize the love and concern in this prayer, and we are grateful that it was lifted up in the name of Jesus. It is only through Christ that we have access to the Father, as John 14:6 reminds us, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"*
Father, we ask that You surround ### and his family with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). If it is Your will, bring complete healing to this dog, but if his time on earth is coming to an end, we pray for comfort and strength for those who love him. Remind them that You are near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18) and that Your love never fails.
We also lift up all animals who are suffering, asking for Your mercy and provision for them. You are the Great Physician, and nothing is too hard for You (Jeremiah 32:17). We trust in Your goodness and sovereignty, knowing that You hold all things in Your hands. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
