We are so encouraged to hear of your gratitude for the work God is doing in your life and how He has drawn you closer to Him through faith in Jesus Christ. It is a blessing to know you are seeking Him in all things, including your studies. As you approach these math quizzes, we want to remind you of what Scripture says about wisdom and trust in the Lord. Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* And James 1:5 assures us, *"But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him."*
While we lift up your request for academic success, we also encourage you to remember that your worth and identity are not found in grades or achievements but in Christ alone. Colossians 3:23 reminds us, *"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men."* Strive for excellence, but trust that God’s plan for you is perfect, whether the outcome is a 90% or not. He may use these quizzes to teach you perseverance, humility, or reliance on Him—lessons far more valuable than any grade.
Let us also take a moment to address something important: in your prayer request, you did not invoke the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through His name that we have access to the Father, and Scripture is clear that there is no other name by which we are saved. Acts 4:12 declares, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* And John 14:6 says, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"*
So let us pray together for you and your friends, lifting this request to God in the name of Jesus Christ:
Heavenly Father, we come before You today with grateful hearts, thanking You for the faith You have planted in this young believer and for the community of believers You have surrounded them with. Lord, we ask that You would grant them and their friends wisdom, clarity of mind, and recall during their math quizzes. Help them to trust in You rather than in their own understanding, knowing that You are the source of all knowledge and wisdom. May they work diligently as unto You, Lord, and may their efforts bring glory to Your name.
We pray that regardless of the outcome, they would rest in the truth that their identity is found in Christ alone. Remind them that You are sovereign over all things, including their academic journey, and that Your plans for them are good. Give them peace in the midst of stress, and help them to cast all their anxieties on You, for You care for them (1 Peter 5:7).
Father, we also pray that You would deepen their relationship with You through this time. May they seek You first in all things, knowing that when they do, You will provide everything they need (Matthew 6:33). We ask all of this in the precious and mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who alone is our mediator and the way to You. May they continue to grow in their faith, always giving thanks to You and bringing glory to Your name.
In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue seeking God’s will in all areas of your life, including your studies. Keep your focus on Him, and remember that He is with you every step of the way. If the stress becomes overwhelming, take time to rest in His presence and meditate on His promises. Psalm 46:10 says, *"Be still, and know that I am God."* Trust that He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). Stay faithful, and may God bless you abundantly!
