Disciple of Prayer
Hi I need help. I need a miracle in my life I need God's hand. Please I need all the prayers. Please. Please I need support. Please hear my heart breaking as I write this please I beg of you. My stepdad is verbally abusive and is taking away my ability to get to work, to feel safe and stable to have a roof over my head. He keeps threatening me. He keeps isolating me. My mom isn’t doing anything and is allowing this to happen. I feel alone no support. I know the only way I can be free is if I move out and I’ve been trying to do just that housing assistance is so hard to get through to and I have to wait 48-72 hours to hear back if I’m eligible for a housing assistance program. I just want to be in a safe stable environment. My mental health is suffering. Please I beg of you to pray for me. I’ve been praying to. Where is God??? I feel he has forsaken me. Why? My heart feels broken. Please pray I can get housing!! Please. Yes I work too at a school. Please. Help.

We hear the deep anguish in your cry, and our hearts break with yours as we lift you before the Lord. You are not alone—God sees your suffering, and He has not forsaken you, even when the darkness feels overwhelming. The enemy seeks to isolate and destroy, but the Lord is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Your pain is real, and your desperation is heard, but we must remind you of this truth: *"The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit"* (Psalm 34:18, WEB).

First, we must address your question: *"Where is God?"* He is right there with you in the midst of this storm, even when you cannot feel His presence. The apostle Paul reminds us that *"we walk by faith, not by sight"* (2 Corinthians 5:7, WEB). Your feelings of abandonment are valid, but they do not reflect the truth of Scripture. Jesus Himself cried out on the cross, *"My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?"* (Matthew 27:46, WEB), yet He trusted the Father’s plan even in His deepest agony. You, too, can cling to Him in this moment, even when it feels impossible.

Your stepfather’s abuse and your mother’s silence are grievous sins before God. Scripture is clear: *"Fathers, don’t provoke your children to anger, but nurture them in the discipline and instruction of the Lord"* (Ephesians 6:4, WEB). What he is doing is not of God—it is oppression, and the Lord sees it. Likewise, your mother’s failure to protect you is a betrayal of the love and care a parent should provide. *"Anyone who doesn’t provide for their relatives, and especially for their own household, has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever"* (1 Timothy 5:8, WEB). This is not just a failure of love; it is a spiritual failure. We rebuke this spirit of abuse, manipulation, and neglect in the name of Jesus Christ. No weapon formed against you will prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we declare that the Lord will break these chains of oppression over your life.

You are taking the right steps by seeking housing assistance, and we pray that God would open doors swiftly. *"Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord. Trust also in him, and he will do this"* (Psalm 37:4-5, WEB). But we also urge you: do not wait passively. If you are in immediate danger, seek help from local authorities, a trusted church, or a domestic violence shelter. The Lord often works through practical means, and He may be placing people in your path to help—don’t hesitate to reach out. *"Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened for you"* (Matthew 7:7, WEB).

Your mental health is precious to God. He does not want you to carry this burden alone. *"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest"* (Matthew 11:28, WEB). If you are not already connected to a Bible-believing church, we strongly encourage you to find one where you can receive support, prayer, and godly counsel. Isolation is one of the enemy’s greatest tools, but God designed us for community. *"Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ"* (Galatians 6:2, WEB).

Now, let us pray over you with the authority and love of Christ:

*"Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of Your beloved child, who is crying out in despair. Lord, You are the God who hears the cries of the afflicted, and You are moving even now to deliver them from this oppression. We bind the spirit of abuse, manipulation, and fear in the name of Jesus Christ. We break every chain of control and isolation that the enemy has placed over this situation. Lord, expose the darkness and bring Your light into every hidden place.

Father, we ask for divine intervention in the housing process. Open doors that no man can shut. Provide favor with those in authority over these programs, and let Your supernatural provision manifest quickly. Give this child wisdom to know the next right step and the courage to take it. Surround them with godly people who will stand in the gap for them.

Lord, we pray for their mother’s heart to be convicted by Your Holy Spirit. Soften her to the truth of what is happening and give her the strength to act righteously. If she will not repent, Lord, then remove the influence of this household from Your child’s life and place them in a safe haven.

We speak peace over their mind and heart. Heal the wounds of rejection and betrayal. Remind them that they are *not* forsaken—that You, Lord, are their ever-present help. Restore their hope and fill them with Your supernatural joy, even in the waiting.

Father, we ask for Your protection over their job at the school. Let it be a place of stability and blessing, not another source of stress. Provide for every financial need and guard them against the schemes of the enemy.

Most of all, Lord, draw them closer to You. Let this trial be a refining fire that deepens their trust in You. Remind them that You are their Defender, their Provider, and their Father. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray—*Amen.*"*

---
Beloved, hold on. The Lord is fighting for you, even when you cannot see it. *"The Lord will perfect that which concerns me. Your loving kindness, Lord, endures forever. Don’t forsake the works of your own hands"* (Psalm 138:8, WEB). Keep praying, keep seeking, and do not lose heart. We are standing with you in this battle. If you can, share this request with a pastor or trusted believer who can pray with you and help you take practical steps toward safety. You are *not* forgotten. The God who parts seas and shuts the mouths of lions is the same God who is working on your behalf today. Trust Him. He will make a way.

We're here with you, dear friend, and we want you to know that you're not alone. We've been thinking about your situation and wanted to reach out with some more encouragement and prayer.

Firstly, we want to remind you that God is always with you, even in the darkest times. He sees your pain and hears your cries. It's okay to feel overwhelmed and alone, but please remember that God is right there with you, holding you up. He loves you so much, and He's working things out behind the scenes, even when you can't see it.

We want to encourage you to keep seeking help. Keep pushing through those housing assistance applications, and don't hesitate to reach out to local authorities, trusted churches, or domestic violence shelters if you're in immediate danger. God often works through practical means, so trust that He's guiding your steps.

We also want to encourage you to keep praying and keep trusting. It's hard, we know, but God is faithful. He's promised to never leave or forsake you. Keep clinging to Him, even when it feels impossible. He's got you.

Now, let's pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come to You today on behalf of our dear friend. Lord, we lift them up to You. We ask for Your divine intervention in their situation. Lord, we ask for Your protection over them. Keep them safe and shield them from harm. Give them strength and courage to keep pushing through. Open doors of opportunity and provide for their every need. Lord, we ask for a breakthrough in their housing situation. We declare that You are making a way where there seems to be no way. We thank You for Your unfailing love and faithfulness. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Keep trusting, keep praying, and know that you're not alone. We're here for you, and so is God.
