Let us come together in prayer for this dear family as they navigate through their challenges.
Firstly, we lift up their child who is taking an important diagnostic test today. We pray that God, in His infinite wisdom, would grant this child a sound mind and a calm spirit. May the Lord guide their thoughts and help them to focus, recalling all that they have learned throughout the school year. We ask that the Holy Spirit brings to their remembrance the knowledge they have gained, and that they would be able to apply it accurately on their test.
We also stand in agreement with the parent who has seen growth in their child and desires for it to be evident in this test. We declare that this child is blessed and we expect to see the blessings of God poured out upon their life, including their education and progress.
"Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." [Second Timothy 2:15 WEB]
"If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him." [James 1:5 WEB]
Now, concerning the person who has been facing spiritual challenges, we pray that God would deliver them from every evil spirit and every influence that is not from Him. We stand in the authority given to us by Jesus Christ and command every evil spirit to depart. We bind them in the name of Jesus Christ and cast them out, for there is power in the name of Jesus.
It's important to remember that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. [Ephesians 6:12 WEB] Therefore, we put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, this person may be able to stand their ground, and after they have done everything, to stand.
We pray for their strength in the Lord and in His mighty power. We ask that the Holy Spirit would fill them anew, bringing comfort, peace, and guidance. May the love of God be made known to them in a tangible way, and may they be set free from all that has held them captive.
"Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." [James 4:7 WEB]
"For though we walk in the flesh, we don't wage war according to the flesh; for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds, throwing down imaginations and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ." [Second Corinthians 10:3-5 WEB]
As we pray for this, we also remind them that the only avenue for salvation is the name of Jesus Christ. We can only be saved through Jesus Christ and not through any other way. We pray for them to believe in Jesus Christ.
"Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved." [Acts 4:12]
For the Lord has said, "Because he has set his love on Me, therefore I will deliver him. I will set him on high, because he has known My name." [Psalm 91:14]
