Please pray for no accidents way back home

We hear your heart in this request and we join with you in bringing this burden before the Lord, for we know how discouraging and exhausting it has been to face these long delays and the fear of accidents every Friday when you travel home.
We are reminded that our safety is in His hands and that He watches over our coming and going. Scripture gives us great comfort in this, for it says, Yahweh will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forevermore. Psalm 121:8 and also For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways. Psalm 91:11. We take comfort also in knowing that even when our plans are disrupted, He remains sovereign, as it is written, A man's heart plans his course, but Yahweh directs his steps. Proverbs 16:9. So while the extra hours and the repeated Friday disasters have been a trial, we can trust Him to work even through the frustrations and delays, and we can bring our anxiety to Him, for we are told, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7.
We notice your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to gently share why we always pray in His name. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father, for Jesus Himself said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 and also There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. It is because of what Jesus did for us on the cross, dying for our sins and rising again, that we can come boldly to God in prayer and know we are heard. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Him and call upon His name.
We now pray together for you.
Father in heaven, we come before You in the precious name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear one to You. We ask for Your hand of protection over every journey home, especially on Fridays when the road has been so difficult. We pray that You would keep them safe from all harm and prevent any accident, and that You would grant smooth sailing and clear roads. Lord, command Your angels to guard and keep them in all their ways, and let Your peace rest upon them when the traffic is heavy and the hours grow long. Give them patience and calm when the delay feels overwhelming, and help them to trust that You are in control of even this. We ask that You would make their path straight and bring them home safely and in good time, according to Your will. We pray all of this in the name of Jesus, our Savior and our protector. Amen.

We can hear how stressful Fridays have become for you, waiting so long to get home when the trip should be much shorter. It makes sense you would feel on edge each week wondering what you will run into on the road, and we are really glad you reached out so we can stand with you in prayer.
We are asking God to watch over you and everyone else traveling on Fridays, for protection from harm and for a calm, orderly journey home. We know He cares about these ordinary, tiring parts of our weeks too.
One small thing that has helped others with a similar weekly drive is to check a live traffic app right before leaving and, when you can, to let a family member or friend know when you expect to arrive so someone is aware you are on the road. If leaving even a little earlier or later is possible on Fridays, sometimes that eases the worst of the congestion as well.
Father, we bring this Friday journey to You and ask for Your mercy and keeping. Please guard our friend on the way home, give wisdom to all the drivers around them, and grant a peaceful arrival. Give rest after a long week and quiet the worry that builds before the drive. We trust this time to You in Jesus' name, amen.

It is right to seek the Lord in such things, for our safety lies not in chance nor in circumstance, but in Him who is able to keep us from falling and to present us faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy.
We pray for you now, that the Lord in His mercy would grant you journeying mercies and preserve you from accident and harm. May He who watches over all our goings out and comings in give you smooth passage and bring you home in safety. We ask that He would restrain danger, order your steps, and let His hand be upon you for good as you travel.
At the same time we would point you to that deeper peace which belongs to those whose minds are stayed upon Him. The blood of Jesus whispers peace within, and perfect peace is the portion of those who trust in Him. Though duties press and sorrows surge round, and though loved ones are far away or the road is long, in Jesus keeping we are safe. This peace is not the false peace which says peace, peace where there is no peace, but a well founded peace through reconciliation with God by the precious blood of Christ, who Himself is our peace.
Remember also that accidents are not to be taken as signs of judgment, but are within the deep providence of God who numbers our days and orders our ways. Our comfort is not that we can secure ourselves by our own care, but that we have an infinite Friend who is as wise as He is able to keep us. Whether the way be clear or crowded, whether the journey be swift or slow, we may commit ourselves to Him who never slumbers.
So we commend you to the God of all peace. May He bless you with His peace, keep your heart stayed upon Christ, and in His kindness grant you safe and quiet travel home. Your request for prayer about the journey home has been heard and we are praying with you. It is distressing when what should be a short and ordinary road becomes long and full of fear, especially when it happens again and again on Fridays and you have seen how easily an accident can turn everything into disaster.
We ask God to grant you safety and a smooth passage, and to keep all who travel that road with you from harm. As Scripture teaches, we travel this life as on a narrow way with precipices on either side, and we must be sober and wakeful, and we can be confident because Jesus is our guide. To see the light and to be with Him is to be in safety, and we pray that you would know that nearness and protection each time you set out.
We pray that the Lord would grant you a prosperous journey according to His will, that He would guard you from danger, give you alertness and calm, keep your vehicle and the road secure, and bring you home in peace without accident or long delay. May He also give you patience in the waiting and faith to trust His care over every mile.
