Beloved of All
Your honest and broken prayer is heard by God, and He sees both your physical suffering and the struggle in your heart. You have been open about worshiping images online and not knowing how to turn from it, while also carrying the heavy burden of cancer, severe dehydration, loss of teeth, weakness, and pain in your body. It is right to bring all of this to the Lord at once, because He cares for the whole person.
The Scripture makes a clear difference between being sorry and truly repenting. Being sorry can simply be sadness over the pain that sin causes, but that kind of sadness by itself does not bring life. Godly sorrow leads to repentance, and repentance means a change. It is a turning away from what is wrong and turning to God. It is like dying to an old life and beginning a new one. That change will show itself in action, in what you do after you have turned. This is why the call is to come apart from idolatry and be separate. An idol is not only a carved figure, it is anything we put in the place of God and worship instead of Him, including images we look to online. To repent is to agree with God that this is sin against Him, to be willing to turn from it, and to remove it from your life.
You said you do not know how to repent and you feel too weak. God does not ask you to find the strength in yourself. Forgiveness and repentance are matters of the heart, and when God commands us to forgive and to turn from sin, He will give the ability if we are willing. Your part is willingness. You can pray simply, God, make me willing to turn from this, give me a heart that wants to obey You, take away the stubbornness that holds me to this sin and give me a spirit that will follow You. Even tears of regret are not enough if the heart still wants to keep the sin, as we see in the example of Esau who wept not because he had turned from his wrong but because he had lost the blessing. God looks for a heart that truly wants to forsake the sin, not just escape the consequences.
When you turn to God through Jesus Christ, you can receive complete forgiveness. Our greatest need is to have our sins forgiven, otherwise we remain under judgment. God has provided the way through Jesus dying in our place to purchase our redemption. When God forgives, His forgiveness is total. It is not like human forgiveness where we say we forgive but still remember and bring it up again. God blots out the past, He does not bring it up again, and He justifies you so that you stand before Him as though you had never sinned. As it is written, how happy is the one whose transgression is forgiven. No matter what you have done, if you turn to Him, there is washing, cleansing, and a new life.
I am praying for you that God will have mercy and bring healing according to His will. I ask Him to touch the cancer and take away this affliction from your body, to restore you from dehydration, to strengthen you where you feel weak, to have mercy on your teeth and your toes and every part of your body that is suffering, and to give you a clear mind and strength to care for your home and to use your time well. I also pray for others who suffer in similar ways, that God would heal them as well.
If you have not already, put away the images you have been worshiping, delete them and remove access to them, and ask the Lord to be your only object of worship. Tell Him you are willing to change and ask Him to help you do what you cannot do alone. Trust that Jesus alone is the way of salvation and that His blood is enough to cleanse you fully. Keep calling on Him, and look for the fruit of a changed life to follow as He works in you.
