We have heard your cry and we join together with you before the throne of grace in Jesus name to seek mercy and healing. We hear your burden over cancer and severe dehydration and the loss of teeth and the pain in your body and toes, and we hear your honest confession that you have been worshiping images online and you do not know how to repent and you feel too weak to turn from sin. We want to lift you up and also speak truth in love so you may find real freedom and healing.

The word of God is clear that we are not to worship images or idols of any kind. You shall not make for yourselves an idol, nor any image of anything that is in the heavens above, or that is in the earth beneath Exodus 20:4. Those images cannot help or save, and they separate us from the true God who alone can forgive and heal. To repent means to agree with God about sin, to confess it openly to Him, and to turn away from it with His help. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness 1 John 1:9. Repentance is not done in your own strength while you feel weak, it is done by coming humbly to Jesus Christ and asking Him to cleanse you and give you a new heart. We encourage you to delete and turn away from those images completely, to make no provision for that temptation, and to fill your mind with scripture and prayer instead.

We also notice you asked God to forgive you and to provide for your needs and to heal you, but you did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We say this gently because we want you to have full assurance. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only through His shed blood that our sins are forgiven. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. If you have not yet put your trust in Jesus as Lord and Savior, we urge you to believe that He died for your sins and rose again, and to call upon His name to be saved. That is the foundation for every other prayer being heard.

We know you feel weak and overwhelmed, and God understands that weakness. He does not despise a broken heart. My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness 2 Corinthians 12:9. Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest Matthew 11:28. He is the one who forgives all your iniquities and heals all your diseases Psalm 103:3, and by His wounds we are healed Isaiah 53:5. We believe God is still the healer, and we also believe He uses doctors and practical care, so we encourage you to seek medical help urgently for the dehydration and cancer and dental needs, to drink water and receive treatment as God provides through those means.

We now pray together for you and for your family and for all who suffer similarly.

Father in heaven, we come before you only through the name of Jesus Christ your Son. We confess our sins and the sin of worshiping images, and we ask you to forgive us and cleanse us through the blood of Jesus. Grant our dear one true repentance, give strength to turn away completely from idols and to worship you alone in spirit and truth. Lord have mercy on this weak and weary body. You see the cancer and the dehydration and the loss of teeth and the pain in the toes and feet. We ask in Jesus name that you would touch this body with healing, that you would remove cancer from it, restore hydration, strengthen bones and gums, and ease suffering. My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:19, so we ask you to supply daily bread, water, medical care, and a clean and peaceful home. Give strength to not waste time but to use each day for your glory, even in weakness. Comfort those in the family who need healing and comfort all who have similar afflictions. Fear not, for I am with you. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness Isaiah 41:10. Let your will be done and let your healing and salvation be made known. We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, amen.

We encourage you to keep crying out to Jesus daily, to read His word, to pray in His name, and to walk away from every image that has taken His place. He is near to you even when you feel weak, and He will give you strength to repent and to live for Him.

We hear how heavy this is for you, and we are praying for you. You carried a lot in this one message, the pain in your body from cancer and severe dehydration, the worry about losing more teeth and about your toes, feeling weak and worn down, and also the burden on your conscience about images you have been looking at online and wanting to turn from it but not knowing how.

Wanting to repent when you feel weak is itself a turning toward God. Repentance is not about finding perfect words or strength on your own, it is simply coming honestly to Jesus, naming what weighs on you, asking for His forgiveness, and asking Him to help you walk a different way going forward. He hears that honest cry even when you feel too tired to pray it well.

Because you mentioned severe dehydration, cancer, and concern for your teeth and toes, we encourage you to reach out promptly to your medical team for care, and to a dentist for your teeth, alongside prayer. If you have a pastor or a trusted believer nearby, it could also help to talk with them in person as you seek to leave behind what has troubled you and to not waste the strength you do have.

Father, we lift this dear one to You in Jesus' name. Have mercy and draw near. Forgive sins, bring comfort in weakness, and guide every medical decision and need for daily provision. Give wisdom, strength for today, and peace in Your presence, and extend Your healing and care to others who are suffering in similar ways. We trust them into Your hands. Amen.

Your cry has come before us in much brokenness and weakness, and we have heard the burden of your heart. You speak of cancer and severe dehydration, of pain in your body and the loss of teeth, of a house and mind that feel disordered, and of loved ones for whom you seek healing. You also confess with trembling that you have worshipped images online and you do not know how to repent, yet you desire to do so and you ask for mercy. Be assured that such a desire is itself a tender movement of grace, and we will pray for you and with you.

Hear first what the Word of God declares for such a soul as yours, There is forgiveness with You, that You may be feared. This is no hopeful guess but a certainty. There is forgiveness with God through Jesus Christ His Son, who was sent by the Father on purpose to forgive sin, and whom God has exalted with His right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance and forgiveness of sins. If you have offended God, and we all have, the forgiveness you need is not to be found in yourself, nor in any image made by hands, but with Him alone, through the blood of Christ who died, the Just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God.

You say you do not know how to repent and you feel too weak. Learn then that true repentance is not a work you must perfect in your own strength, but a gift which God bestows. There is a carnal repentance that is of the flesh, a mere fear of judgment, but there is a repentance unto life, which is wrought in the renewed heart by the Holy Spirit. True repentance gives God glory. It weeps and abhors past sin because of the love of Christ which has pardoned it, and it looks out of self to Christ, and to Christ only. Do as one in great distress was once counselled to do, believe in the forgiveness of sins for yourself. Say with the creed, I believe in the forgiveness of sins, and then believe that for your sins also there is forgiveness through the finished work of Christ.

Therefore turn from the worship of images, for they cannot help or hear. The Lord alone is God, and salvation is through Jesus Christ alone. To repent is to turn from these vain things with grief and to turn unto the living God, asking Him to cleanse you and to give you a new heart. This repentance will be practical and lasting, it will yield works meet for repentance, not by your power, but as Christ is admitted to be the sole master of the heart. Confess plainly to Him that you have sinned in this, ask Him to forgive you for Christ's sake, and ask Him to teach you to worship Him only.

And concerning your body, we remember how the palsied man was laid in the presence of Jesus, hoping for healing, and the first word Jesus spoke to him was not of healing but of forgiveness, Son, your sins are forgiven you. First forgiveness, then healing. Seek first the healing of your soul, which is eternal, and then bring your bodily afflictions to the same Saviour, for He is able to have mercy upon the body also. We will pray that the Lord will have compassion upon you in your cancer and dehydration, that He will sustain you, lessen your pain, and according to His wise and good will, restore health. We will pray also for those you love who are sick, and for all who suffer in like manner.

Because you are severely dehydrated and weakened, we urge you also to seek timely help from those who can care for the body, to take water and nourishment and to let physicians do their office, while you look to the Lord as the great Physician of soul and body. Do not despise the means He provides.

Let us pray for you now.

O Lord God, with whom there is forgiveness, have mercy upon this afflicted one. Forgive sin for the sake of Jesus Christ Thy Son, who bore grief and anguish upon the cross. Grant true repentance unto life, that this soul may turn from all idols to serve Thee alone, and may know that pardon is full, free, and eternal. In Thy compassion, lay Thy healing hand upon this body wasted by cancer and thirst. Ease this hell of pain, refresh with water and strength, preserve what remains, and if it please Thee, take away this disease. Give a clear mind, order to the house and to the thoughts, and power not to waste time but to live unto Thee. Remember also the loved ones named before Thee, and others who suffer so, and show them Thy mercy. Keep this weak one from despair, and let the tears of grief be made a rainbow by hope in Christ. We ask all through Jesus Christ our Lord, in whom alone is our hope. Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We have received your request and we have lifted your needs before the Lord, and we hear how much suffering and weakness you are carrying in your body and in your soul.

You were honest about worshiping images online and not knowing how to repent, and you asked for forgiveness and mercy. God does not call us to worship images, but to worship Him alone through Jesus Christ, for salvation is through Christ alone and He alone is to be worshiped. We will not ask God to bless the worship of images, but we do pray that He will turn your heart fully to Christ, that you may know His forgiveness and walk in His way. To repent is not only to feel weak or sorrowful, but to agree with God about sin, to confess it openly to Him, to turn away from it, and to trust in the mercy Christ won on the cross. The Scriptures teach that godly sorrow works repentance unto salvation without regret, and that the Church is like a spiritual bath where stains of the soul are washed away by many methods of repentance. Repentance is not excluded for you. There is no second washing of baptism, but there is a continual way of repentance by which God forgives those who come to Him humbly. Do not despair because you feel weak. God is longsuffering and He has shown both His goodness and His warning so that we would return to Him and not treasure up wrath for ourselves, but receive mercy.

If you do not know how to begin, begin simply. Tell the Lord in prayer that you have sinned by giving to images the worship that belongs to Him alone, and by other sins you know, ask Him to forgive you for the sake of Jesus Christ, and ask Him for strength to turn from these things. Turn away from the images and from sites that lead you to worship them, and set your heart to seek Christ in prayer and in His Word, and to walk with other believers who can help you. True repentance will show itself in turning away and seeking to do what is right before God.

We have prayed for your body as you asked. We asked the Lord to have mercy on you in your cancer and severe dehydration, to ease what you called hell in your body, to provide for your needs, to give wisdom and help to those caring for you, and to give you strength when you feel so weak. We prayed for your teeth, that you would lose no more, and for your overall health, including your feet and toes, and for your home and your time, that God would help you to use your strength wisely and not waste what He gives. We also prayed for others who suffer in similar ways, that God would heal according to His mercy and will. Please also seek medical care quickly for dehydration and cancer and dental needs, for God often provides help through physicians and He calls us to care for the body He has given.

Do not remain in despair. Even when we have heard many times and seemed not to change, God can use one more hearing to bring abundant fruit, as a tree that has received many strokes finally falls with one more. God sees your eager desire to be healed and to repent, and He does not despise a broken heart that turns to Him. Keep confessing, keep turning to Christ, keep asking for His help each day, and trust that He is able to forgive and to restore.

We will continue to pray that the Lord will forgive you through Christ, cleanse you, strengthen you in body and soul, take away the disease as He wills, deliver you from all evil, and form Christ in you, that you may walk in newness of life.
