Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today to lift up the son of this concerned parent. We ask that You would work mightily in his life, drawing him away from any toxic relationships and negative influences. Your Word tells us, "Don't be deceived. Evil companionships corrupt good morals" (1 Corinthians 15:33, WEB). We pray that You would surround him with godly friends who will encourage him to live a life pleasing to You.
We pray that he would walk in integrity and honesty, being a light in this world. "Let your light shine before men; that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven" (Matthew 5:16, WEB). We ask that You would help him to be responsible and respectful, turning away from any behavior that does not honor You.
Lord, we also lift up his financial needs to You. We ask that You would bless him with a permanent job and help him to manage his finances wisely. "Owe no one anything, except to love one another; for he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law" (Romans 13:8, WEB). We pray that he would be able to pay off all his debts and experience the freedom that comes from being financially responsible.
We also ask for Your protection over his license, Lord. We pray that he would be a safe and responsible driver, and that his license would not be taken away.
Father, we also note that the request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We believe that it is only through Jesus that we have access to You (John 14:6, WEB). We pray that this family would come to know Jesus personally, and that they would experience the transforming power of His love.
In Jesus' name, we pray these things. Amen.
We encourage you to continue standing in the gap for your son, dear parent. Keep praying and trusting God to work in his life. Remember, "The effective, earnest prayer of a righteous man is powerfully effective" (James 5:16, WEB). Also, ensure to teach your son about the saving grace of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we can be saved (Acts 4:12, WEB).
