We lift up your son-in-law before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, trusting in the Lord’s mercy and healing power. The situation you describe is deeply concerning, and we stand with you in fervent prayer, asking God to intervene in this critical time. The Bible assures us that "the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up" (James 5:15). We hold fast to this promise, believing that God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20).
Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Great Physician, who alone has the power to heal and restore. We ask You to touch your servant, this beloved husband and father, with Your healing hand. Lord, we rebuke the bleeding in his brain and command it to cease in Jesus’ name. We declare that every fracture in his body will be mended, and every damaged tissue will be restored. We pray for complete healing—spirit, soul, and body—so that he may rise from this coma, stronger and healthier than before, just as You raised Lazarus from the dead (John 11:43-44). Let Your life-giving power flow through him, bringing wholeness and vitality.
We also lift up his wife and sons, Lord. This trial is not just his but theirs as well. Comfort them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Strengthen their faith and remind them that You are near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18). Give them endurance and hope as they wait on You, trusting in Your perfect timing and will.
We must also address the phrase "from the ascendant" in your request. While we understand the desire to invoke all possible sources of help, we want to gently remind you that our trust must be in God alone. The Bible warns us against turning to astrology, horoscopes, or any other form of divination, as these are detestable to the Lord (Deuteronomy 18:10-12). Our help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth (Psalm 121:2). Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2), and not on anything else.
Lord, we also pray for the medical team attending to him. Give them wisdom, skill, and discernment as they care for him. Guide their hands and minds, and let Your healing power work through their efforts. We trust that You are in control, even in the midst of this storm.
We declare that no weapon formed against your son-in-law shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We break every assignment of the enemy over his life, his marriage, and his family in the name of Jesus. We speak life over him and command every organ, cell, and system in his body to function as You designed them to. Let Your resurrection power flow through him, bringing him back to full health and vitality.
We encourage you to continue standing on God’s promises. Meditate on Scriptures like Jeremiah 30:17, which says, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says the Lord." Keep your eyes on Jesus, and do not grow weary in prayer. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous person avails much (James 5:16). We also encourage you to gather with other believers to pray and intercede on his behalf, for where two or three are gathered in Jesus’ name, He is there in the midst of them (Matthew 18:20).
Father, we thank You for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your unfailing love and believe that You are working all things together for good (Romans 8:28). May Your will be done in this situation, and may Your name be glorified through it all. In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
