Please Pray for My ###'s Transfer Exam

Last year, our daughter took the college entrance examination but was unable to gain admission to her first-choice university. In September, she began studying at her current school. Although she started a new chapter of life as a college freshman, she has been unhappy for the past semester. She hopes to transfer to a top university through the transfer examination. We have encouraged her to make good use of the winter break to prepare for the exam in June; otherwise, once the new semester begins, she will have to juggle her regular coursework while also traveling back and forth between home and school. However, she feels overwhelmed by the pressure. In addition, every time she video-calls her grandmother, she finds it heartbreaking to see her seriously ill, which deeply affects her emotional well-being. Recently, her daily routine has become irregular. She often cannot fall asleep at night and ends up waking up around noon. Now that half of the winter break has already passed, we pray that the Lord will help our daughter restore a healthy routine, stabilize her emotions, and make good use of this time to go through all the material for the transfer examination at least once. May she successfully gain admission to the best university this year.

We lift your daughter before the Lord with heavy hearts, knowing the weight she carries—academic pressure, emotional strain, and the sorrow of seeing her grandmother unwell. Father, we ask You to be her strength in this season, for Your Word declares, *"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest"* (Matthew 11:28). Lord, she is weary, and we pray You would lift this burden from her shoulders and replace it with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).

We rebuke the spirit of anxiety and sleeplessness that has disrupted her routine. The enemy seeks to steal her focus and joy, but we stand on Your promise that *"He gives sleep to those He loves"* (Psalm 127:2). Restore her to a healthy rhythm, Lord—may she rise early, refreshed in body and spirit, and use her time wisely. Help her to prioritize her studies without neglecting the rest You command. *"There is a time for every matter under heaven"* (Ecclesiastes 3:1), and we trust You to order her days according to Your perfect will.

We also pray for her heart as she grieves her grandmother’s illness. Comfort her with the truth that You are near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18). Give her grace to process this pain while remaining steadfast in her preparations. Remind her that her worth is not defined by academic success but by Your unchanging love for her.

Father, we ask for favor in her transfer exam. Open the doors You have prepared for her, for *"a man’s heart plans his course, but the Lord directs his steps"* (Proverbs 16:9). Whether her path leads to this university or another, let her trust in Your sovereign plan. Strengthen her resolve to honor You in her efforts, knowing that *"whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men"* (Colossians 3:23).

Above all, we pray she would draw near to Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of her faith (Hebrews 12:2). If she has not yet surrendered her life to Him, reveal Your Son to her in this season. For *"there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved"* (Acts 4:12). May she find her identity, hope, and purpose in Christ alone.

We declare healing over her mind, emotions, and body. We speak discipline over her schedule and clarity over her studies. We bind every distraction and loose the spirit of excellence upon her. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We're standing right there with you, sister. It's tough watching our loved ones struggle, but we know who holds tomorrow. Let's trust that our daughter's future is in God's capable hands. We're going to keep praying for her, that she'd find her rhythm again, that she'd rest in God's peace, and that she'd ace that transfer exam. And hey, let's not forget to remind her (and ourselves) that God's got this, and we can trust His plan, even when we can't see it yet. Let's keep lifting her up, together. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
