Prayer Request for ###'s Transfer Examination

Servant
Last year, my daughter took the college entrance examination but did not get into the university she had hoped for. During her first year of college, she has been quite unhappy and has struggled to adapt to her new environment. She is now hoping to transfer to her dream university through the transfer examination on June 27. With only five days left before the exam, she feels very uncertain about her chances and has even begun considering taking a year off and trying again next year. Recently, her daily routine has become irregular. She often has difficulty falling asleep at night and does not wake up until noon. Please pray that Jesus will help her establish a healthy sleep schedule, grant her peace and emotional stability, and enable her to make the most of these final five days of preparation. Pray that she will be able to wake up early and stay alert and energized throughout the entire day of the transfer examination next Saturday. May Jesus give her wisdom, strength, confidence, and favor, and, if it is His will, open the door for her to be admitted this year to the university she has long dreamed of attending. Thank you all for your prayers and support! 🙏

We lift this precious young woman before the throne of grace, asking our Heavenly Father to surround her with His peace that surpasses all understanding as she prepares for this important examination. Father, Your Word tells us in Philippians 4:6-7, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." We ask that You would calm her anxious heart and replace her uncertainty with Your perfect peace.

Lord, we pray specifically for her sleep patterns, knowing that rest is essential for both physical and mental preparation. Your Word instructs us in Psalm 127:2, "It is vain for you to rise up early, to stay up late, to eat the bread of toil; for he gives sleep to his loved ones." We ask that You would help her establish a healthy routine, enabling her to fall asleep at night and wake refreshed in the morning. Give her the discipline to rise early and use these final days wisely, filling her mind with Your truth and her heart with confidence in Your provision.

We rebuke the spirit of fear and doubt that may be whispering lies to her about her abilities or chances of success. 2 Timothy 1:7 reminds us, "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." We declare that she is equipped with everything she needs to face this challenge, for You have promised in Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me."

Father, we ask that You would grant her favor as she takes this examination. Open doors that no one can shut, and if it is Your will, allow her to be admitted to the university of her dreams. We trust in Your perfect plan for her life, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). Give her clarity of mind, wisdom in her answers, and the strength to persevere through the entire exam.

Lord, we also pray for her emotional well-being. The past year has been difficult, and we ask that You would heal any lingering disappointment or frustration. Remind her that her worth is not defined by academic success but by Your unconditional love for her. Help her to cast all her cares upon You, for You care for her (1 Peter 5:7).

We encourage her to fix her eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of her faith (Hebrews 12:2). May she find her strength and hope in Him alone, trusting that He will guide her steps and lead her into the future You have prepared for her. We pray that these final days of preparation would not only be productive but also draw her closer to You, deepening her faith and dependence on Your grace.

Heavenly Father, we ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, for it is only through Him that we have access to You. We thank You for hearing our prayers and for Your faithfulness to answer according to Your perfect will. Amen.

It’s easy to feel the weight of these last few days, a year of frustration and disappointment all funneling into one Saturday morning. We hear how much your daughter has carried, and we ache with you over the sleepless nights and the uncertainty she’s facing. When everything rides on one date, it can feel like the world stops and the pressure just keeps building.

What we’re praying for most is exactly what you asked: for her to find small moments of steadiness. In the time left, it might help if she focuses less on what the exam holds and more on taking the next practical step right in front of her. That could look like sitting down tonight and mapping out a simple plan for the remaining days, not a frantic all-nighter, but a gentle schedule with study blocks, meal times, real breaks, and a set hour to power down and rest. Even a short walk or stepping outside for a few minutes can clear the mental fog. And if sleep keeps slipping away, she doesn’t need to fight it alone, a visit to a doctor or campus health center can be a wise, normal part of caring for her body when stress takes its toll.

We’re standing with you both, trusting that Jesus sees her longing and her exhaustion.

Lord, in these final days, quiet her heart and settle her mind. Give her the clarity to study well and the courage to also step away and rest. Guard her sleep, steady her hands, and fill her with a calm that goes beyond confident answers. Whether the door opens this year or in a year, let her know she is held and never alone. In Jesus’ name.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

My dear friend, I can feel your heart in these words, heavy for your daughter and watching her go through this deep disappointment and restlessness. She is tired, yes, and her hopes have been knocked about. Five days seems so short a span, and she already feels the bitterness of another year slipping through her fingers. That is a hard place to be.

But I want you to take a little hold of this comfort, that our Lord knows what it is to be in close quarters. He does not measure the worth of these days by our frantic toil. When the children at the Orphanage would ask what they should do with all their little duties pressing, I would set before them that one question: “What would Jesus have me do?” And you see, there is a sweet peace hidden in that. Your daughter has before her a small, defined work, not to secure her whole future, but to do what lies nearest these five days, calmly, as unto Him. Tell her to take the hours as they come. If she can study, let it be with a rested mind, leaving the impossible to the Lord. It is not the length of preparation that opens the door, but the hand of the One who holds the key. When our Lord gives a gift, He often waits until the water is entirely spent, so that we may know the supply came from Him alone.

Now, about her sleep. You have touched upon a tender mercy. Sleep is God’s own quiet medicine, a balm He does not sell to the rich and hoard from the poor, but pours out on the weary. Yet when the mind is tossed and the heart throbs with uncertainty, even our bed can seem hard. Do not let her heap guilt upon her unrest. The very fact that she is so worn says she has been striving earnestly. Our Lord, standing in the boat on that wild Galilean sea, did not wait for the disciples to calm their own fears, He simply spoke, “Peace, be still.” Ask Him to speak that peace over her soul before she even lays her head on the pillow. I would have you whisper to her, as a father might to a frightened child in the dark, that the Lord gives to His beloved sleep. Not as a wage for perfect faith, but as a token of His care. If she lies awake, let her not wrestle with the night, but commit the hours to Jesus. Often, resting in His will brings more true refreshment than a slumber gained through anxious fretting.

I do not rebuke her for this unsettled state, the spirit can indeed be willing while the flesh is weak. Our Master looked upon His weary disciples in the garden with a gentle expostulation, but He did not cast them off. He saw their sorrow, and He sees hers. This longing for her dream, this sharp edge of not knowing, is it not like a letter that arrives with a black border, carrying both grief and a great need? Bring that need to Jesus. He does not stand at a distance, demanding our composure before we come; He meets us in the tangle of our days. “To do the will of Jesus, this is rest.” And if she cannot see beyond Saturday, then Saturday is all she need carry. What He has purposed for her life, whether she enters the university this year or must take a quieter road, will be no less a place prepared by love. A lame sheep is not driven from the flock; the Shepherd draws near and strengthens its halting steps.

And for you, watching with a parent’s ache, take heart. You are not merely handing over a request; you are bringing a daughter to the feet of the One who fashioned her mind and counts her every tear. He holds her sleeping and her waking. He will steady her trembling heart. And come what may on that examination day, whether the door swings wide or remains shut for a season, her peace need not be borrowed from the outcome. It is a legacy left by Christ Himself, a peace the world cannot give and cannot steal away.

Let us pray.

Lord Jesus, You see this dear young woman, so weary from hoping and so heavy with the weight of what is to come. Will You draw near, as You did to the frightened disciples, and speak Your calm over her soul? Grant her, we pray, the sweet mercy of rest. Quiet her mind at night, that she may wake with a steadied heart and a clear head to do the small duties of these days, leaving the great result in Your pierced hands. Surround her with a sense of Your favor that is deeper than any examination room. And if it be Your gracious will, open the way for her to walk into this long-desired place. But above all, give her a peace that rests not on a letter of acceptance, but on a settled confidence in Your good and perfect will. Carry her now, we ask, and let her find that Jesus makes a calm in the very midst of the storm. Amen.

We are so grateful you entrusted us with the privilege of lifting your daughter before the Lord these past days. It has been our joy to stand in agreement with you, asking Jesus to steady her heart, restore her rest, and fill her with His peace as she prepares for this important exam.

If the Lord has already answered any part of this prayer—whether by granting her better sleep, renewed focus, or a fresh measure of confidence—we would love to hear a praise report so we can rejoice together. If, however, the exam is still ahead and her heart feels heavy or uncertain, please know we are still here to pray. You are welcome to post this request again so we can continue interceding for her with fresh faith and urgency.

Above all, we pray that your daughter would sense the nearness of Christ in every moment, trusting that His plans for her are good. May He grant her wisdom in these final days of preparation, strength on the day of the exam, and the assurance that He holds her future in His hands. If it is His will, may He open the door to her dream university—but even more, may she walk in the confidence that He is guiding her steps.

We will keep praying, believing that God is at work in ways we cannot yet see. May He bless you both with His presence and peace as you continue to seek Him. In Jesus’ Name.
