Please pray for my partner

Thank you for sharing this request and for your care for this man and for his children. We have heard your heart for his health, his safety, and for blessing on his life and family, and we want to pray with you with both compassion and truth.

The greatest blessing any of us can know does not come through our own efforts or goodness, but through faith in Jesus Christ. The Scriptures teach that we are not made right with God by keeping a law or by our own works, but by trusting in what Jesus has done for us. When we put our faith in Him, we are adopted into God's family and become children of promise, and it is in Christ that we enter into the blessings of God. God does love to bless, and His blessings touch every part of life, spiritual and physical, yet those blessings are not automatic. They are connected to walking in His ways and hearing His voice.

God is also our place of safety and protection, like a high rock where we can find shelter. At the same time, Scripture is honest that God in His sovereignty does allow His children to face sickness, hardship, and the effects of age. We can and should ask Him for health and protection, while also trusting His wisdom and asking above all for what matters most, that Christ would be formed in us and that we would walk in truth.

That is especially important when children are involved. What parents do has a deep effect on their children, for good or for hardship, and the mercy and blessing of walking faithfully with the Lord can be passed on from one generation to the next. The Scriptures call parents to teach their children diligently and to model a life that follows God's word, because there is no greater joy than to see children walking in truth.

So in light of this, we will pray not only for physical health and safety, but for the deeper and lasting needs.

We pray for this man you mentioned, that the Lord would watch over him, keep him safe, and provide for his daily needs, and that the Lord would extend that same care and protection to his children. We pray that God would draw him to Himself through Jesus Christ, that he would come to know salvation through Christ alone, and that Christ would be formed in his life. We pray that both of you would come to know God's grace and truth more fully, and that your lives and your relationship would be shaped by His design. God has revealed that marriage is a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman, and that sexual intimacy and sharing a home in that way belongs within that covenant. Because we want God's best for you, we pray that you would both seek Him about aligning your lives with that design, walking in obedience so that you may know His blessing in the fullest way.

We also pray for you, that God would give you wisdom, strength, and peace as you care for others, and that you would find your own shelter and hope in Jesus. May the Lord lead you both into faith, repentance where needed, and a walk that honors Him, so that His mercy and blessing may rest on you and on the children entrusted to your care.
