Please pray for my partner
We join together with you in prayer for this man and for his children, and we bring him before the Lord asking for God's protection, health, and blessing upon his life.
We notice you refer to him as your partner and we want to speak to this in love and truth because we believe marriage is a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman ordained by God. We pray that every relationship would honor Him. The scripture says Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled, but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers Hebrews 13:4. We encourage you to see this relationship as courtship with the goal of marriage to a fellow believer in Christ if it is the Lord's will, rather than a partnership outside of marriage. If you are living together or sharing intimacy outside of marriage, scripture calls that fornication and we are called to flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body 1 Corinthians 6:18. We also gently share that if this is a same sex relationship, we must lovingly say that homosexuality is forbidden and immoral before God, and we would urge repentance and walking in God's design for marriage. We also encourage you both to be equally yoked as believers, for what fellowship has righteousness with iniquity 2 Corinthians 6:14, and to seek a godly marriage that honors Christ and provides a godly foundation for his children.

It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. If you have not yet put your trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, we encourage you to confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, for with the heart one believes resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation Romans 10:9-10.

We claim Your promise that he who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty Psalm 91:1, and we say of You, Lord, You are our refuge and our fortress, our God in whom we trust Psalm 91:2. We ask that You bless his life and draw him to Yourself, that he would know You and walk in Your ways, and that You would bless his children and lead them to know Your love and truth. We ask that You give him hope and a future, for we know Your thoughts toward us are thoughts of peace and not of evil Jeremiah 29:11. Your request for prayer has been brought before us and we do take it to the throne of grace.
We hear your care for the one you call your partner and for his children, and your desire that he should be kept in health and safety. It is right to bring such temporal mercies before the Lord, for it is He who preserves our strength of limb and the blood that leaps within our veins, and He who supplies our daily needs. Yet we are reminded that temporal blessings do not last long, they are soon gone, while spiritual blessings are the rarest, the richest and the most enduring. God has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ, and these are the blessings we are most earnest that any soul should receive.
Therefore our prayer for this man and for his children, and for yourself, is first for the soul. That the Lord would grant a new heart, for the Holy Spirit cannot dwell in the old heart which is full of enmity to God. We pray that He would take the stony heart away and give a heart of flesh, a tender heart that feels the faintest touch of His Word, and that He would put His Spirit within you all, to cause you to walk in His ways. For by nature we are all children of wrath, strangers from the covenants of promise and without God in the world, until we are brought near by the precious blood of Christ. There is salvation in no other, for it is through Jesus Christ alone that we are chosen and blessed according to the Divine purpose.
We pray for his health and preservation as you have asked, that the Lord in His providence would keep him and his children from harm and supply all that they truly need. He who feeds the prowling lion and supplies every insect with its food will not suffer His own to lack for what is good. And we pray that you all may find that greatest granary of spiritual food, the precious volume of Scripture, and there learn the way of life.
We also pray that the Lord would lead you both into all holiness and into His good design for our lives. His Word teaches that marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and that the blessings of living together and of the marriage bed belong within it. We do not ask God to bless what lies outside that pattern, but we do ask Him to bless you with conviction, with repentance where it is needed, with purity, and with grace to walk in obedience so that your lives may be conformed to His will. His commandments are not grievous, His yoke is easy, and to follow Him in holiness is the path of true and lasting joy.
May the Lord grant you and this man and his children faith in the atoning sacrifice of Christ, a living faith that saves, and may that faith be followed by a life of perseverance in holiness. We pray that the children may be brought to know the Savior early, that they may be taught the Word and be kept in the way everlasting, and that your household may be found seeking the Lord together in public worship and in private prayer.
We commit you all to our faithful God, who does not afflict willingly nor grieve the children of men without cause, but whose clouds, though they be dark, are big with mercy and shall break in blessings on the head of those who trust Him.
