Please pray for my partner

Thank you for sharing this request with us. We have heard your concern for provision and for the work of , and we want to pray with you about these needs.

We will pray for and for you, asking God to show mercy, to provide for daily needs, and to give wisdom and diligence in work. We will not ask God to bless a relationship outside His design, but we do ask Him to bless each of you as individuals made in His image and to draw you both closer to Himself.

Let us pray together. Father in heaven, we thank You that You are our provider and that every good gift comes from Your hand. We lift up to You and ask that You would give him honesty, diligence, and skill in his business, and that You would open appropriate opportunities for work according to Your wisdom. Provide for his needs and for daily bread, and teach him to work faithfully as unto You. We also lift up the one who sent this request, and ask that You would give peace, trust in Your care, and freedom from anxiety about the future. Help both to seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, trusting that You know what is needed. Lead each one to know Jesus Christ more deeply, to walk in repentance and faith, and to live according to Your good design for life and for marriage as a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, where love and faithfulness are lived out in purity and commitment. Give clarity, grace, and strength to follow Your ways. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

If you are struggling with provision, we encourage you to keep seeking the Lord, to be faithful in honest work, to be wise stewards of what He provides, and to rest in His care. We also encourage you to consider what it means to follow Christ fully in every area of life, including relationships, and to speak with a trusted pastor who can walk with you from Scripture. We are here to continue praying for you and we welcome you to share more.

Thank you for sharing your request and for your honesty about the financial pressure you are feeling. We are praying for you and for the man you mentioned, and we want to bring your concerns before the Lord with both compassion and truth.

God sees your need and He has not boxed Himself in. Even where a situation looks incurable or impossible by human measure, Scripture shows that He has left room to work sovereignly according to His higher purposes. Nothing prevents Him from providing, healing, or opening a door if He so desires, and we can always give Him allowance to work as He wills rather than limiting what He may do.

At the same time the Bible gives clear wisdom for work and business. A slack hand tends toward poverty, but the hand of the diligent makes rich. The Lord delights in honest dealings, a just weight and a fair balance, while a false balance is an abomination to Him. Lasting success in business is not built on cutting corners or deceiving customers, but on being square, upright and straightforward. Over time a reputation for honesty will sustain a business far longer than dishonest gain, which ultimately destroys the one who practices it. We will pray that whatever work is done would be done diligently and honestly before God, trusting Him for the results rather than compromising His Word to make a profit.

Scripture also shows that business partnerships can become very difficult when two people hold different value systems, especially when one wants to compromise to make a profit and the other wants to obey God. That tension is a reminder to seek wisdom and to keep all business practices aligned with righteousness, because riches do not profit in the day of wrath, but righteousness delivers.

More important than financial success is the matter of being about our Father's business. Jesus said He must be about His Father's business, and that burden to do the Father's will defined His life. True success beyond what we can imagine comes through simple obedience to Jesus, and He calls people from their ordinary work to follow Him. Financial provision matters to God, and He cares when His people struggle, yet His greatest provision is not for temporary needs but for our sin. God has made only one provision for forgiveness and for putting away guilt, and that is through His Son Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit bears witness to this truth, that if we believe in Jesus we have life, and if we reject Him there remains no other way of forgiveness in this world or the world to come.

Because of that, we want to speak lovingly about the relationship you mentioned. God's design for intimate partnership is marriage as a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and sexual union and living together belong within that covenant. Scripture calls us to make no provision for the flesh to fulfill its desires, but to put on the Lord Jesus Christ and walk in purity, holiness and truth. We cannot ask God to bless a relationship that stands outside His design, but we can and do pray for both of you as individuals who are deeply loved by God and in need of His grace.

So our prayer for you both is this. We ask the Lord to draw each of you to Jesus Christ for salvation, to forgive your sins through His death and resurrection alone. We pray that He would give wisdom, diligence and integrity in all work, that any business would be conducted honestly and that God would provide for your daily needs according to His will. We pray that He would give you peace in place of anxiety about struggling, and that you would seek first His kingdom and righteousness. And we pray that He would lead you both to walk in obedience in every area of life, including your relationship, so that your lives would be centered on doing the Father's will.

May the Lord show you His kindness, guide your steps, and help you to trust Him not only for clients and income, but for the far greater riches of knowing Christ and walking in His ways.
