We are here to pray with you and to help guide you according to God's word. First, we need to address a few things in your request. You mention that you have a partner, but we want to clarify that the Bible teaches that relationships should be between a man and a woman with the goal of marriage. So, we will pray for you both as a courtship seeking God's will and marriage in the future.
Secondly, trust is a fundamental aspect of any relationship, and it's important to rebuild that trust through open communication, forgiveness, and a commitment to God's principles. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. It is only through Jesus that we have life and salvation. It is only through Jesus that we can love one another.
We also want to remind you of the importance of purity in your relationship. If you are living in fornication or having sex before marriage or outside marriage, we strongly encourage you to repent and turn away from that sin. Sex before or outside marriage can be a cause of mistrust. It is only through God's grace and forgiveness and turning away from the sin that we can be saved from it.
Let's pray and seek God's will together:
Father God, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up this couple to You. Lord, we pray that You would heal their relationship and restore the trust that has been broken. Please help them to forgive each other and to communicate openly and honestly. Make them part of the forgiven.
We pray that their love and the sexual relationship will be one that is ordained by the Holy Spirit. Their bodies are the temple of God and sex outside marriage is fornication. May they be an example of holiness, purity, and righteousness and not one of sexual immorality or defrauding each other. Lord, we ask that You would guide them towards a life of purity and holiness, fleeing from all sexual immorality and fornication. If they are fornicating may they repent and turn away from it. We pray that You would give them the strength to resist temptation and to honor each other in their thoughts and actions.
We pray that their love will grow strong and that they will listen to each other instead of accusing. We pray that they will be quick to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger. As it is written in James 1:22 "But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if any are hearers of the word and not doers, they are like unto a man beholding his natural face in a mirror: for he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was. But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed. If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain. Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world."
Lord, we ask that You would surround them with godly counsel and wisdom, and that You would guide them towards marriage if it is Your will. We pray that their relationship would be a testimony of Your love and faithfulness, and that it would bring glory and honor to Your name. Thank you Lord.
In Jesus' name, we pray.
