Lord, you hate divorce.
"I hate divorce," says the LORD God of Israel, "and I hate a man's covering himself with violence as well as with his garment," says the LORD Almighty.So guard yourself in your spirit, and do not break faith. Malachi 2:16
I ask for you to open the eyes of this wayward spouse, to soften his heart to his wife and show him the joy he can have keeping his vow and being true to you. Marriage is a vow before God, and as such is sacred, thus a target of the enemy. I ask your protection and healing over this situation and all the marriages that seem so attacked. I pray that you would convict the lost with a thirst for you and a desire to walk your ways. I would ask that all doors but yours be blocked and barred in theses situation and that those who stand waiting for their prodigals would have the strength to love their spouses with a Godly love, one of forgiveness and compassion based not on earning, but on being. Thank you lord for your sacrifice of love on the cross and your continual sacrifices of watching over us as we fall again and again. We are nothing without you, May you be praised, honored and glorified as your will be done! Amen
