My husband is a fireman/paramedic and a farmer.
It is always hard when a patient dies. Last week two died. A tiny two year old girl of cancer and in a separate incident a young 37 year father and husband of a brain bleed.
My husband was contacted via e-mail by the brother of the man who died.
He wanted to ask him questions regarding the care given. My husband feels he gave the best care he could. The man was pronouced brain dead after arriving at the hospital.
My husband did not answer that e-mail but talked with his Chief who has arranged a meeting tommorrow with the brother of the man who died for tommorrow.
The chief and an other fireman/Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) will also be in attendance will be at this meeting.
This is the first time my husband has been in this situation.
(a formal questioning)
I am worried of the motive of this man. He had approached a deputy Cheif who is a firefighter to obtain my husband's name and e-mail.
.........
Pray for the cheif to handle this situation in a legal and kind manner.
Pray for the EMT to remember what had happened.
Pray for my husband to be calm, caring, sympathetic, and remember the details.
Pray for the man to remain calm and not angry.
Pray for the man to be satisfied with the facts and not sue or take my husband to court.
Pray for the records to show the truth.
Although I do understand his pain because I too have lost loved ones.
I am VERY afraid, of the motives for this questioning.
Thank you in advance for your prayers. This is so very scary.
