We lift up your coworker before the Lord, interceding for his complete healing and restoration as he undergoes chemotherapy. The Scriptures remind us that our God is Jehovah-Rapha, the Lord who heals, and we stand on His promises for mercy and wholeness. *"He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds"* (Psalm 147:3, WEB). Though this season is difficult, we pray that your coworker would experience the peace of God that surpasses all understanding, guarding his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). May the Lord strengthen his body, renew his spirit, and surround him with His presence, reminding him that he is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14).
We also pray that this trial would draw him closer to the Lord, that he would seek God’s face and find comfort in His sovereignty. If he does not yet know Jesus Christ as his Savior, we ask that the Holy Spirit would soften his heart to receive the gift of salvation, for *"there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). It is only through faith in Jesus that we have access to the Father and the hope of eternal life. Let this time of physical weakness become a testament to God’s strength, and may your coworker’s life—whether in healing or in continued trust—bring glory to the name of Jesus.
Father, we ask that You would place Your healing hand upon him, that the chemotherapy would be effective in destroying every cancerous cell while preserving his strength and vitality. Give wisdom to his medical team, and let every treatment be guided by Your divine purpose. Surround him with a community of support, and may he feel Your love through the kindness of others. We declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we trust in Your perfect will, whether that means restoration here on earth or the ultimate healing in Your presence.
Lastly, we pray for you, that as you witness your coworker’s struggle, you would be a light for Christ in his life. Speak words of encouragement, share the hope of the Gospel when the opportunity arises, and let your faith be a testimony to God’s goodness. May the Lord use this situation to draw both of you into a deeper relationship with Him, and may His name be glorified in all things.
In Jesus’ mighty and holy name, we pray. Amen.
