Please pray for my childhood friend, ###, who is currently incarcerated. He has a ###-year mandatory sentence, and by God’s grace he has already completed ### years, with ### years remaining. I wrote him a letter, and he wrote back once. I later sent another letter, but I have not heard from him in over a year. I don’t know if my letter was lost or if something else happened, and not knowing how he is doing has been heavy on my heart. Please pray that God would give me peace and, if it is His will, provide a sign or an opportunity for me to know that ### is safe and doing well. Please pray that these years would be the last time ### is ever incarcerated, and that God would completely transform his life. Pray that the Lord protects him physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually while he is in prison. Ask God to provide for every need he has, surround him with His angels, guard him from harm, and fill him with His presence so that he never feels alone. Pray that God heals every wound, trauma, depression, fear, and negative thought in ###’s life. Pray that He softens and protects his heart so it never grows cold, bitter, or hardened, but instead remains tender, humble, and full of love. Pray that God gives him strength to endure these remaining years without losing hope, faith, or his mind. Please pray that ### encounters Jesus in a real and life-changing way. Pray that he develops a genuine relationship with God, grows in his faith, loves reading the Bible, and becomes the man God created him to be. Pray that the Holy Spirit transforms his thinking, gives him wisdom and self-control, and helps him truly understand what it means to live as a godly man. Pray that God reveals ###’s purpose and unfolds the plans He has already written for his life. Pray that he leaves behind every destructive habit, every wrong influence, and every pattern that led him to prison. Ask God to give him the strength and conviction never to return to his old ways, but to walk in obedience and freedom for the rest of his life. Please pray for ###’s future after his release. Pray that God opens doors for stable employment, safe housing, financial provision, and a strong support system. Pray that he is surrounded by people who encourage him to continue following God and making wise decisions. Please pray for his children. Ask God to protect them, comfort them, and strengthen their relationship with their father. Pray that God makes a way for ### to see them, restore the years that have been lost, and rebuild those relationships through love, healing, forgiveness, and trust. Please also pray for ###’s mother, sister, and entire family. Ask God to comfort them, strengthen them, provide for them, and carry them through the pain of having a loved one incarcerated. May they experience God’s peace and faithfulness during this season. Please pray for me as I continue to care about ### and support him as a friend. Ask God to teach me how to love him well, give me wisdom in every interaction, and place the right words on my heart whenever I write to him. May every letter I send encourage him, strengthen his faith, remind him of God’s love, and speak life into him. Finally, please pray that God blesses our friendship. If it is His will, may we continue encouraging one another for many years to come. I pray that the healing and redemption God has worked in my own life will one day encourage ### to believe that God can do the same for him. Thank you for praying with me that God continues His good work in ###’s life and that his future will be marked by hope, freedom, restoration, and faith in Christ.
