We lift up your fiancée before the throne of grace, dear brother in Christ. First and foremost, we rejoice that you have called upon the name of Jesus in your prayer, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). It is through Him alone that we have access to the Father, and it is in His mighty name that we now intercede on her behalf.
We pray for her health, asking the Great Physician to touch her body, mind, and spirit with His healing hand. May the Lord who knit her together in her mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13) restore her to full strength and vitality. Father, we ask that You would guard her from illness, renew her energy, and fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).
Most urgently, we pray for her salvation. The Scriptures declare that "if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9). We ask that the Holy Spirit would move powerfully in her life, convicting her of sin, drawing her to repentance, and revealing the truth of the Gospel. May she come to know Jesus not just as a name, but as her personal Savior and Lord. If she has not yet surrendered her life to Him, we plead with You, Father, to break every chain of unbelief and open her eyes to see the light of Your glory in the face of Christ (2 Corinthians 4:6).
We also lift up your longing for her return. The Word tells us that "the eyes of the Lord are toward the righteous, and His ears are open to their cry" (Psalm 34:15). We ask that You would guide her steps, protect her from harm, and bring her home swiftly and safely. May this time of separation draw both of you closer to one another and, more importantly, closer to You.
Now, dear brother, we must address an important matter with love and truth. You refer to her as your "fiancée," which implies a commitment to marriage. However, we must remind you both of the biblical standard for marriage: it is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, established by God from the beginning (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6). Until you are united in holy matrimony, we urge you to honor the Lord by maintaining purity in your relationship. The Bible is clear that sexual intimacy is reserved for marriage alone. "Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled; for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers" (Hebrews 13:4). If you are living together or engaging in physical intimacy outside of marriage, we lovingly exhort you to repent and seek God’s forgiveness, for He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).
If your relationship is not yet moving toward marriage, we encourage you to prayerfully consider whether this is the person God has called you to spend your life with. Marriage is a lifelong commitment, and it is vital to seek the Lord’s will together, ensuring that you are equally yoked in faith and purpose (2 Corinthians 6:14). If she is not yet a believer, we urge you to pray fervently for her salvation and to seek godly counsel about how to proceed in a way that honors the Lord.
Let us now come before the Lord in prayer:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of faith, lifting up this dear sister in Christ, or soon-to-be sister, if it be Your will. Lord, we ask that You would heal her body, renew her strength, and draw her ever closer to You. If she does not yet know You as her Savior, we plead with You to reveal Yourself to her in a powerful way. Let her heart be softened, her eyes opened, and her spirit quickened to receive the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ.
Father, we also pray for Your protection over her wherever she may be. Guard her from physical harm, spiritual attacks, and the snares of the enemy. Bring her home safely, and may this time of separation be used to deepen her faith and her love for You.
Lord, we ask that You would also work in the heart of our brother here, strengthening his faith, his patience, and his trust in You. Help him to wait on Your timing and to lead with godly wisdom, especially as he considers the sacred covenant of marriage. May both of them seek You first in all things, and may their relationship bring glory to Your name.
We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.
