Please pray for my family. That my husband's heart will be softened. He accepted Jesus many years ago but has strayed. He is a good man, provides for our family and loves us very much, but I pray that his love for Jesus will be restored. I pray that my whole family will lean on Jesus during this time of mourning my dad. I know Jesus had a purpose for taking my dad. Last year at this time my dad was recovering from a 4-month hospital stay. We prayed for the Lord's will and my dad walked out of the hospital!! He was called the "miracle man" by the staff. The Lord gave him a healthy year, and then took him suddenly almost a year to the day he came home from the hospital. I know we are not to question God, but I cannot help but wonder what his purpose was. I pray that I will be granted continued peace and comfort. I ask Jesus to wrap his arms around my mom, as she endures the loss of my dad, whom she had been married to for 61 years. I thank Jesus for dying on the cross so that I may have forgiveness of my sins. I also ask that you would all pray that I draw closer to God. I want to seek him in all I do. I pray this in the precious name of Jesus. Amen.

For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. I prayed for this, May God answer this request. amen

 

I will pray about your husband. I will also pray for comfort for you and your loved ones during this period of mourning. I don't think you will ever know why God let your father live for that year and then took him home. Only God knows why. Maybe he did it for you and your family, so you could spend more time with him. All I do know is that everyone goes back to God when God sees fit to call them home. Hope this helps, ###.
