The Gospel of Health
Rocks of Trouble
Mary Magdalene
We join with you in lifting up your daughter before our Heavenly Father, bringing her mental health, her school work, and her confidence as she prepares for what is ahead. We know how heavy a parent's heart can feel when a child is struggling with anxiety, pressure, or self doubt, and we thank you for bringing her to the Lord in prayer.

Scripture reminds us that God cares deeply for her mind and heart. He has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control, 2 Timothy 1:7. When anxiety rises, we are invited to come to Him, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:6-7. We pray that peace over her now, that her thoughts would be guarded and her heart steadied, not by her own strength but by His presence. As it is written, Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness, Isaiah 41:10.

We also pray for her school work and preparation, that the Lord would give her clarity, focus, and confidence rooted in Him. If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him, James 1:5. We ask God to grant her wisdom as she studies and prepares, and to help her commit her deeds to Yahweh, and her plans shall succeed, Proverbs 16:3. Whatever she does, we pray she can do it heartily, as for the Lord, Colossians 3:23, knowing that she can do all things through Christ, who strengthens her, Philippians 4:13. True confidence does not come from perfection or performance, but from knowing she is fearfully and wonderfully made and upheld by her Creator, Psalm 139:14, and that when she is afraid she can put her trust in Him, Psalm 56:3.

We notice your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to gently share why His name matters so much to us. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father, for Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me, John 14:6, and There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12. It is by believing in Jesus Christ, that He died for our sins and rose again, and confessing Him as Lord, that we are saved and our prayers are heard, Romans 10:9. We pray you and your daughter both know this hope personally.

We pray together now, Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and lift up this precious daughter to You. Lord, You know her struggles, her worries, her school pressures, and every thought that weighs on her mind. We ask You to touch her mental health with Your healing peace, to calm every anxious thought, to replace fear with Your power and love and a sound mind. Give her restful sleep, renewed strength, and joy in You. We ask You to bless her studies, help her to understand what she is learning, to remember what she has prepared, and to approach her work with diligence and calm confidence. Let her find her confidence not in herself alone but in You who is with her always. Surround her with encouragement, godly support, and remind her daily that You are near to those who are of a broken heart, Psalm 34:18, and that You will never leave her nor forsake her, Joshua 1:9. Draw her closer to Jesus, and draw her family closer to You as you walk through this season together. We trust her into Your loving hands and thank You for hearing us. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

We are praying with you for your daughter. It is clear how much you love her and how much you want her to feel steady and confident as she prepares for school.

Carrying concern for a child's mental health while also watching school pressures build can be heavy for a parent, and it is good you brought her to the Lord and asked others to pray with you.

We will keep asking God to give her peace in her mind, strength for her daily work, and a growing confidence that she is seen and supported both at home and at school.

One gentle next step that often helps is to make a little unhurried space to hear how she describes the pressure in her own words, without rushing to fix it, and then together consider who at school might be a steady support, like a teacher or counselor she trusts. If her anxiety feels persistent or heavy, it is wise to reach out to her doctor or a counselor alongside prayer, so she has caring professional support too.

You are not alone in this, and your steady encouragement at home matters more than you may realize as she prepares.

Father, we lift this daughter to You. Calm her thoughts, guard her heart, and help her know Your nearness each day. Give her clarity for her school work and confidence as she prepares, and give her parents wisdom to walk beside her with patience and love. Lead them to the right support and help them all rest in Your care. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your burden for your daughter has been carried to the throne of grace, and we have prayed with you for her.

We have asked the Lord to lay His gracious hand upon her mind and to grant her that peace which passes all understanding, to guard her heart and mind in Christ Jesus. In these days when the heart palpitates and the spirit is cast down, we are reminded that true confidence is not found in our own strength or attainments, but in abiding in Christ. As we are rooted and grounded in Him, so we grow up in Him with humble confidence. We have prayed that she may know herself upheld by Him who is our peace, and that she may learn to be calm and to wait upon the Lord, not afraid with any amazement, but quietly trusting in her Father's care.

For her school work and preparation we have also prayed. We asked that the Lord, who is the great Teacher of His people, would teach her to learn with a willing and teachable spirit. It is a blessed prayer, Teach me to do thy will, for thou art my God, and we have asked that He would give her clarity of mind, diligence in study, and grace to do all as unto the Lord. We have prayed that her preparation may not be a burden of anxious striving, but a work done in dependence upon Him, and that as she abides in Christ she may have confidence before Him, a confidence that steadies the soul for every duty and every trial.

May the Lord Himself be her strength and her song, and may He comfort you as you watch over her with love and prayer. We will continue to entreat the Lord to work in her that gracious preparation of heart which makes us meet for His service here and His presence hereafter, and to seal to her soul the blessed assurance that she is kept by His power. Cast your care upon Him, for He careth for you and for your child, and He hears the cry of a parent's heart.
