Beloved of All
We have heard your prayer for your children as they make their journey home, and we join you in bringing them before the Lord Jesus.
We pray that the Lord will keep them under His care this day. As the Scripture says, He gathers His own as a hen gathers her chickens under her wings, and His protection is sure. We ask that He be with the one who is hurrying to catch the train, granting calm and safety and a clear way, and with the one who is driving, granting alertness and steadiness and a sober and wakeful journey. We pray that Jesus Himself will be their guide on the road, and that He will bring them home safely without harm.
We also remember your heart as a parent. God is the true Father who watches over His children better than any earthly guard, and when His presence dwells within, it is a wall that cannot be broken. You can trust your children to that faithful care even when they are out of your sight.
May the Lord grant you peace as you wait, and may He bring your children home in safety. We continue to pray with you in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
