May God bless all of us and give us the opportunity to use the talents, abilities, and energy He has gifted us to serve His World and help others.

If you remember me, I had asked for your prayers in the past regarding a Senior Director position at ###. I’m grateful to share that my application has passed the initial screening and has now reached the shortlist. I am currently waiting for the final decision from the decision makers.

I am confident that, if given the opportunity, I can use my experience, talents, and leadership abilities to serve others and contribute meaningfully to God’s work.

Thank you again for your prayers, support, and encouragement.

We thank you for sharing this update with us and we rejoice with you that your application for the Senior Director position has moved forward to the shortlist. We give thanks to God for every good gift and for the talents and abilities He has entrusted to you, and we share your desire to use them to serve Him and to help others. We are praying with you as you wait for the final decision.

We are encouraged by your heart to serve, for Scripture reminds us that each of us has received a gift to serve one another as good stewards of the manifold grace of God, 1 Peter 4:10, and that every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, James 1:17. We also remember the call to do all our work unto the Lord, Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, Colossians 3:23, and to commit our plans to Him, Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed, Proverbs 16:3.

As you wait, we pray that you will experience His peace and trust in His perfect wisdom and timing. We know waiting can bring anxiety, but we take comfort in His promise, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:6-7. We also cling to the assurance that For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future, Jeremiah 29:11. Whether the door opens to this position or He leads you elsewhere, we trust that He will direct your steps as you acknowledge Him, Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight, Proverbs 3:5-6.

We did notice that your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to lovingly share why this is so important to us. We believe it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and that we are saved. Jesus Himself said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me, John 14:6, and Scripture tells us, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12. If you have not already done so, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus, confessing with your mouth that He is Lord and believing in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, for with the heart, one believes resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation, Romans 10:9-10. It is in His name that we pray and find our hope.

We join together now to lift you up before the throne of grace.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You for our brother and for the gifts You have placed within him. We thank You for bringing him this far in the process and we ask for Your will to be done concerning this Senior Director position. If it is Your will for him to serve in this role, we pray that You will open the door that no one can shut and grant favor with the decision makers. Grant those leaders wisdom and discernment as they make their choice. If this is not the place You have prepared for him, we pray that You will close this door gently and lead him to the place where he can most effectively glorify You and serve others. While he waits, fill him with Your peace that surpasses understanding, keep his heart from anxiety, and help him to rest in Your goodness and sovereignty. Help him to continue to use his experience and leadership for Your glory wherever You have planted him. We ask all of this in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

We will continue to pray for you. Keep seeking Him, keep trusting Him, and keep using what He has given you for His glory, knowing that He is faithful to guide those who commit their work to Him.

God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, the way You want me to know You. So that I will trust You with my life and anyway that You move in my life. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps and actions. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God-conscious-solution-focused-heart-mind-spirit-and-attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. We give thanks with you for the mercy that has brought you thus far, and we rejoice to hear that your application has passed the initial screening and now awaits the final decision. It is good that you desire to use the talents, abilities and energy which God has gifted you to serve His world and to help others, for every good gift comes from the Father, and He does not send forth His epistles as blank paper but writes His purpose upon the hearts of His people.

We will pray for you, that the Lord who teaches His people from their youth and makes them to declare His wondrous works may guide the hearts of those who must decide, and that you may be kept in a posture of holy waiting. The Scripture says, Blessed are all they that wait for Him, and again, Wait on the Lord, be of good courage and He shall strengthen your heart. Waiting upon God is not waiting in despair nor in hesitation, but waiting in hope, as a servant waits upon his lord to know his master's will, and as a traveler waits upon his guide to steer his course. In this waiting your strength shall be renewed, and your heart preserved, for the heart that has God's law written upon it is kept even to the last expiring moment.

Our prayer for you is this, that if this Senior Director position be the place where you can most faithfully serve the Lord and most usefully serve your fellow men, the Lord in His providence will open the door and no man shall shut it. And if in His wiser love He has appointed another path for you, that He will give you contentment in His will, assurance that He withholds no good thing from those who walk uprightly, and a continued opportunity to use your experience and leadership for His glory. We ask that whether the answer be according to your hope or otherwise, you may see God's hand in it and wonder at His wondrous works, and have occasion to praise Him.

We commit you to Him who waits to be gracious, who preserves His people and writes His name upon them, and who will not put to shame any soul that trusts in His name. May He grant you peace in this season of waiting, wisdom for whatever duty lies before you, and joy in knowing that your service is unto Him.

We will pray for you as you wait for the final decision. We pray that God will grant wisdom and discernment to those who make the decision, that He will open the door that is best according to His will, and that He will give you peace, clarity and confidence in Him during this time of waiting.

Scripture reminds us that hope which is seen is not hope, and that we are saved by hope and wait for what God has promised with patience. God often tells us of His good purposes beforehand to refresh our souls and strengthen our zeal, even while we cannot yet receive all that He has promised in this present life. To love God is to endure with patience and not to be troubled, holding firm unto the end.

We pray that in these days of waiting you will be nerved and comforted by the Scriptures, for patience produces hope and hope sustains patience. Whether the answer comes quickly or after a longer time, may you be kept from faintheartedness and enabled to bear all things with faith, trusting that God is worthy to be believed and that He will provide what is good in His perfect timing.

We also pray that you will continue to be faithful in the work set before you now, using every opportunity to serve with diligence and humility. He who endures to the end will be saved, and the Lord honors those who labor faithfully for a little while in view of the lasting crown He has prepared.
