Your request has been heard and I join you in bringing it before the Lord with care and seriousness.

I pray for you in the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have access to the Father and salvation. I ask the Lord to keep you and to guard the work He has given you to do. All good things come from His hand, and it is He who gives blessing to our labor when it is done with diligence and integrity. May He give you wisdom, steadiness and strength to maintain your career well, to do your duties faithfully, and to walk with a clear conscience before Him and before others.

I pray that God will surround you with people who act justly, who will speak truthfully on your behalf, who will defend and help you according to what is right. I pray that He will expose hidden traps and bring to nothing any plan formed to cause you to stumble deliberately. May the truth be made clear, and may any attempt to make you a scapegoat or to harp on your mistake for the sake of financial gain be prevented. If you have made a mistake, I pray that God will give you humility to acknowledge it honestly, to correct what can be corrected, and to learn from it, so that your life and work may be well pleasing to Him. For right faith profits us little without a pure life and good works, and God delights when we live for what is good and for the advantage of our neighbor.

Concerning justice, I pray as you asked that God will repay according to His righteousness. Leave vengeance in His hands, for He sees all things and judges with perfect fairness and mercy. Do not seek to repay evil for evil, but pray even for those who oppose you, that they may turn from wrongdoing and seek what is right. May the Lord keep your heart from fear and bitterness, and give you peace as you trust Him.

May the Lord grant you protection, upright helpers, honest work, and a steadfast hope. Labor for a little while with endurance in the course set before you, looking to the imperishable crown He promises to those who remain faithful. May He guide your steps, establish the work of your hands, and keep you in His grace.

I entrust you to the grace and love of our Lord Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever. Amen.

Your concern about your work and the fear of being made a scapegoat is understandable, and it is right to bring it to the Lord. He sees the pressure you are under, the mistake that is being magnified for the gain of others, and the quiet plans that seek to cause you to stumble.

Scripture reminds us that our help does not come from the hills around us or from human strength alone, but from the Lord who made heaven and earth. He is the place of safety for those who stay close to Him, a fortress and covering. As a bird is covered under wings, so He covers those who trust Him. One of the psalms speaks of being rescued from the trap set by those who hunt birds, the snare being broken so that escape is possible. That is the kind of deliverance God gives. He can break the trap that has been set for you.

There are times when God's people feel completely trapped, with no way forward and no way back, as Israel did at the sea. They were led into a place that looked like a trap, yet God used that very place to teach them to trust Him and to show His power to deliver. He did not remove His presence from them, but remained with them as a cloud by day and fire by night. He remains with you in the same way. Even when others press in and you feel surrounded, He is able to keep you, to guard you in the ways that are most vulnerable, by day and by night.

The Bible also teaches that those who dig a pit for another often fall into it themselves, and those who set a hidden trap are caught by their own devices. You do not need to repay or to seek revenge in your own strength. God sees all that is done in secret and He will deal with each person according to what is just and right. Your part is to walk honestly before Him, to do your work faithfully, and to leave judgment in His hands.

Let us pray for you. Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we bring this need before You. You know the work that has been entrusted to this person and the anxiety about losing it. We ask that You would protect and sustain the work You have given, and give wisdom and steadiness to do it well. Surround this person with people who will speak truth, who will defend what is right and offer real help, and silence the voices that would single out one failure for their own profit. Expose and frustrate every plan that seeks to entrap, and break the snare before it can hold. Keep this heart at rest in Your presence, trusting not in human favor but in Your faithful care, and let Your justice be done in Your time and Your way. We ask that You would be a covering and strength, and that peace would guard this life as trust is placed fully in You. In Jesus name, amen.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer.

We have continued to lift up your career before the Lord and we remember your specific burdens. We have been praying that the Lord would protect your career from coming to an end and that He would enable you to maintain it well. We have asked Him to surround you with people who will defend, protect and help you, and to prevent others from making you a scapegoat by harping on your mistake solely for their own financial business. We have also prayed that God in His justice would repay everything accordingly as it says in Romans 12:19, and that He would thwart the plans of the one who is trying to trap you by deliberately causing you to make a mistake so you cannot escape. We have asked that their plans would not succeed, standing on the promise in Isaiah 54:17 that no weapon formed against us shall prosper.

We ask that He would guard your steps from error and preserve your career for His glory. We pray that His justice and mercy would prevail in your workplace and that you would know His peace and provision daily. We ask all of this in Jesus Name, Amen.
