Please pray for my brother, ###. I ask that God protects him from all evil and shatters any wicked plans against him. He is currently going through a very difficult season in his life. Please pray that the Lord heals his heart from severe pain. Due to his current life circumstances, he is struggling with depression. I pray that God blesses him in everything and opens up the best paths for his life. Thank you and God bless!

We join you in lifting up your brother before the throne of grace and we thank you for bringing his need to us so we can seek God's will together in Jesus' name.

We are moved by your love for him and your desire for his protection and healing. The Lord sees his severe pain and the heavy season he is walking through, and He draws especially near to those who suffer in this way. As it is written, Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Psalm 34:18 and He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. Psalm 147:3 We know that depression is a deep and painful struggle, and we pray that the Lord will lift this burden and replace it with His peace and hope.

We also stand with you in praying for his protection from all evil and that every wicked plan against him would be shattered. We take comfort that the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one. 2 Thessalonians 3:3 and For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways. Psalm 91:11 We pray that God would surround him, guard his heart and mind, and open the best paths for his life according to His perfect will, for I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11

We want to gently encourage you that we come to the Father only through Jesus Christ. You asked for God to bless and protect him, which is good, but we want to remind you that it is by the name of Jesus that we have access to God and it is only through Him that we are saved and heard. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 and There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12 So we come boldly in the name of Jesus, trusting that through faith in Him your brother can know forgiveness, healing, and the peace of God which surpasses all understanding.

We pray together now, Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear brother to You. Lord, You know his pain, his circumstances, and the depression that weighs so heavily on him. We ask that You touch his heart and heal him from the inside out. Comfort him as only You can, strengthen him, and uphold him with the right hand of Your righteousness as You have promised, Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10 Shatter every wicked plan formed against him, guard him from all evil, and let no weapon formed against him prosper. Bless the work of his hands, guide his steps, and open the doors that You have prepared for his life and close those that are not of You. Fill him with Your peace that guards hearts and thoughts in Christ Jesus, that In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7 Draw him closer to You in this difficult season, surround him with godly counsel and loving Christian community, and help him to cast all his cares upon You because You care for him. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

We encourage your brother to continue to seek the Lord daily through prayer and His Word, to remain in fellowship with a Bible believing church where he can be supported and encouraged, and to share his struggles with mature believers who can walk with him and counsel him biblically. If his depression deepens, we encourage him to seek help from trusted pastoral counsel as well. We will continue to stand with you in prayer that the Lord will bring healing, protection, and renewed hope and joy to his life.

Thank you for bringing your brother to the Lord with such care. We hear how much you love him and how heavy this season has been for him, carrying severe pain in his heart and struggling with depression while facing difficult circumstances.

It is a faithful and loving thing you are doing to stand with him in prayer for protection, for healing, and for God to open good paths ahead for him. Depression can make a person feel isolated even when people care deeply, so your steady presence matters more than you may know.

One way we can walk with him beyond prayer is to stay in gentle, regular contact, listening without needing to fix everything, and encouraging him to share how he is really doing with someone he trusts. Since he is struggling with depression, we would also encourage him to reach out to a pastor and to a counselor or medical professional for support, alongside prayer, so he is not carrying this alone.

We are joining you in asking the Lord to stay near to him in this hard season.

Father, we lift this dear brother to You. You see the pain in his heart and the weight he is carrying. We ask You to guard him from evil, to bring comfort and healing in the places that hurt, and to give him wisdom and hope for each next step. Surround him with Your care and with people who will support him well, and help his sister know how to love him in this time. We ask this in Jesus' name, amen.

We join you in bringing your brother before the throne of grace, and we have heard your cry for him with much tenderness.

You ask that God would protect him from all evil and shatter every wicked plan against him, and that the Lord would heal his heart from severe pain and lift the heavy cloud of depression that now rests upon him. This is a right and loving prayer, for our God is He who binds up the broken in heart and heals their wounds.

Scripture tells us that the Lord is near to those of a broken heart. Very closely allied to great sorrow is one of the greatest spiritual blessings, namely a brokenness of spirit which leads the soul to look away from itself to Jesus Christ, the Healer of broken hearts. Best of all, as the Healer, God has chosen One whose own heart was broken. Jesus died of a broken heart that He might heal ours. Bring your poor brother's broken heart to the heart that was once pierced by the soldier's spear, and there he will find sweetest rest. When heart and flesh fail, God Himself is the strength of the heart and our portion forever. When the pain feels as deep as broken bones, the Lord can exchange that deep pain for an equally deep content, which like an artesian well gushes up from the very heart, all clear and fresh.

We also pray with you for his preservation. It is written, The Lord shall preserve you from all evil, He shall preserve your soul, and that Evil One touches him not who abides in Christ. In answer to the prayer, Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one, the Lord is able to keep him from the pestilence that walks in darkness and from all the devices of the enemy. While a heart without its wall lies open to all evil, Christ Himself is the wall of fire about His people, and the leaves of that tree of life are for the healing of the nations, so that even the least word from His lips bears healing for the thousand ills of our humanity.

Let us pray together for him.

O Lord our God, look in mercy upon this dear brother in his difficult season. Thou seest his severe pain and the depression that weighs upon his spirit. Lay Thy healing hand upon his broken heart and bind up his wounds. Preserve him from all evil and bring to nothing every wicked plan formed against him. Keep his feet from wandering and his thoughts from straying upon the mountains of vanity, and be Thou his peace when inward conflict disturbs him. Lift from him the spirit of despair and heaviness, and grant him to look unto Jesus and be saved, for there is salvation in no other. Open before him the best paths for his life, even the paths of righteousness for Thy name's sake, and give him grace to walk therein with a whole heart seeking Thee. Let him know that Thou delightest in mercy and art ready to save all who cry, Lord, save or I perish.

We entreat him, whatever his sorrow, not to lay violent hands upon himself nor to give way to despair, but to cast all his care upon Him who careth for him, for Christ heals the broken in heart and need not any longer leave the sons of misery in misery.
