We lift up your brother ### before the Lord, earnestly praying for his deliverance from the bondage of alcohol, which is a destructive stronghold that grieves the Holy Spirit. The Scriptures warn us in Proverbs 20:1, *"Wine is a mocker, and beer is a brawler. Whoever is led astray by them is not wise."* We also know from Ephesians 5:18, *"Don’t be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit."* ###’s struggle is not just physical but spiritual, and we stand against the enemy’s schemes to keep him bound. We pray that the Lord would break every chain of addiction in Jesus’ name, filling ### with a hunger for righteousness and a thirst for the living water that only Christ can provide. May he turn wholly to the Lord, repenting of this sin, and find strength in the fellowship of believers who can walk alongside him in accountability and love.
We also intercede for your two brothers and their families, asking God to bring unity, peace, and resolution to the land issues they face. We're here with you, standing in faith for ###'s freedom from alcohol. We're claiming Isaiah 61:1, "The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners." Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. We want to thank you for allowing us the honor of lifting your brother ###—and your entire family—before the Lord in these past days. Our hearts have been burdened alongside yours as we’ve prayed for his deliverance from alcohol and for God’s restoration over your family’s land and relationships. We know the enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but we stand firm on the truth that our God is mighty to save and redeem what has been broken.
