We come before the throne of grace with your request, lifting you up in prayer and standing with you in faith. Father God, we thank You for this dear one who has called upon the name of Jesus, recognizing that it is only through Him that we have access to You. We are reminded of Acts 4:12, which says, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" We rejoice that this one has placed their trust in Jesus Christ, the only way to the Father.
Lord, we ask that You would indeed be with them, comforting them in every moment. Your Word tells us in Matthew 28:20, "Behold, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." We claim this promise over their life, asking that they would feel Your presence surrounding them like a warm embrace. When the weight of the world feels heavy, remind them that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).
We pray for Your rich supply in every area of their life. Philippians 4:19 assures us, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." Father, we ask that You would meet their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs abundantly. Provide for them financially, open doors of opportunity in their work, and grant them wisdom to steward what You entrust to them. Lord, we also lift up their health to You. While we know that even Your children face illness in this fallen world, we ask for Your healing touch and for strength to endure. Help them to honor You with their bodies, as 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 reminds us, "Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s."
Father, we ask that You would assist them in their work, granting them diligence, creativity, and favor. Colossians 3:23-24 encourages us, "And whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ." May they find joy and purpose in their labor, knowing that they serve You first and foremost.
We also come before You, asking for forgiveness of their debts, both financial and spiritual. In Matthew 6:12, Jesus taught us to pray, "Forgive us our debts, as we also forgive our debtors." Lord, we ask that You would release them from any financial burdens, providing wisdom to manage their resources and generosity to bless others as You have blessed them. More importantly, we ask that You would cleanse their heart and mind from any sin or unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9 assures us, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." Create in them a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within them (Psalm 51:10).
Lord, we pray for protection over their mind, body, and spirit. Guard them from the schemes of the enemy, who seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). Surround them with Your angels, as Psalm 91:11 declares, "For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways." Strengthen their faith, deepen their trust in You, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).
Finally, we ask that You would draw them closer to You each day. May they seek Your face continually, delighting in Your Word and finding their joy in You alone. Psalm 37:4 reminds us, "Also delight yourself in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart." Align their desires with Your will, Lord, and let them walk in the fullness of life that You have promised to those who love You.
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer. Amen.
