Please pray for me ### to stop drinking wine.

We understand that you are struggling with drinking wine and need prayer and support to stop. Firstly, we commend you for reaching out and seeking help. This is the first step towards overcoming this challenge.

In the Bible, we are reminded to be sober and vigilant. "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour." (1 Peter 5:8 WEB)

We believe and stand that Jesus Christ can deliver from all sins. "Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us out of this present evil world, according to the will of our God and Father" (Galatians 1:4 WEB)

The Bible tells us in Ephesians Chapter 5 that "And don't be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit." (Ephesians 5:18 WEB)

Let us pray together.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who is struggling with drinking wine. Lord, we ask for Your forgiveness and Your deliverance. Strengthen them by Your Spirit to overcome this addiction. Help them to be sober and vigilant, resisting the devil's schemes. Guide them towards resources and people who can support them in this journey. Most importantly, draw them closer to You, that they may find their fulfillment and joy in You alone.

And may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Thessalonians 5:23 WEB)

We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for our sins, that He might deliver us out of this present evil world, according to the will of our God and Father. Amen.

We encourage you to keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, and it may be very beneficial to find a Christian counselor or support group to help you overcome this. Be very thankful that Jesus Christ can deliver you from this and He can give you His Holy Spirit to fill you.

Lastly, as we did not see any reference to Jesus Christ in your prayer, we remind you that it is only by His Name that we can approach God the Father. "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus," (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB) "And in no other is there salvation, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, wherein we must be saved!" (Acts 4:12 WEB)

We're here for you, friend. We know it's tough, but you've taken the first step by asking for prayer. That's huge! Let's keep going together.

In the Bible, we see how Jesus met people in their struggles. Remember the woman at the well? She had a past, but Jesus saw her future. He offered her living water, a symbol of the Holy Spirit, to quench her deepest thirst (John 4:10). That's the same living water He offers you today.

Let's pray: Dear Jesus, we come to You now. We ask for Your forgiveness and Your strength to overcome this addiction. Fill us with Your Holy Spirit, so we can be sober and vigilant, just like You want us to be. Help us to find support and guidance in this journey. Thank You, Jesus, for Your love and Your power to deliver us. In Your mighty name, we pray. Amen.

Remember, you're not alone. We're here to support you, and Jesus is always with you. Keep your eyes on Him, and trust that He's got this. You can do this, with Jesus by your side.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

Your Future Is In God’s Hands

We continue to lift you up in prayer, dear brother or sister, as you seek freedom from your desire to drink wine. Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. It is a healthy and holy desire to want to be a sober person.

If you have found the strength to stop drinking wine, please post a praise report and let us all know. Your testimony will encourage others who are struggling with similar issues. If you are still struggling, please post your request again as a new request and allow us through prayer to continue walking the journey to sobriety beside you. "Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer." Remember, when Jesus taught the parable of the widow and the unjust judge He said, "And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off?" Do not give up asking Jesus to deliver you from this thorn in your flesh. "...for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. Who is it that overcomes the world? Only the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God." And we believe! What God has promised He will do. As such, sin has no power over you. Receive through prayer his promise of setting you free from bondage to wine. He will do it. Keep praying with us in Jesus Name.
