We lift you up before the Father in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, knowing that He alone is the mediator between God and man (1 Timothy 2:5). It is only through faith in His name that we have access to the throne of grace, and we are grateful you have come to seek His face in this time of need.
First, we rejoice that you have brought these burdens to the Lord, for He cares deeply for you (1 Peter 5:7). Yet we must also address something vital—your prayer does not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom all prayers must be offered to reach the Father. Scripture declares, *"There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5) and *"Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son"* (John 14:13). Without calling upon Jesus, our prayers lack the authority and access He provides. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ as Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today. *"If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved"* (Romans 10:9). There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).
Now, let us pray over each of your requests with the confidence that comes from Christ alone.
For your daughter, we ask the Lord to soften her heart and break down any walls of bitterness or unforgiveness. *"Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you"* (Ephesians 4:31-32). Father, we pray you would move mightily in her spirit, drawing her to reconciliation. Convict her of any unforgiveness, and grant her the grace to reach out to you. *"If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men"* (Romans 12:18). We also ask that you examine your own heart—have you sought her forgiveness with humility? Have you extended grace even when wronged? *"So then, if you bring your gift to the altar and there remember that your brother has anything against you, leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift"* (Matthew 5:23-24). Pursue peace relentlessly, trusting God to work in both of your hearts.
Regarding your life after divorce, we must speak truth in love. Scripture is clear that God hates divorce (Malachi 2:16), though He extends mercy to the repentant. If your divorce was not biblically justified (i.e., due to unfaithfulness or abandonment by an unbelieving spouse, as outlined in Matthew 19:9 and 1 Corinthians 7:15), we urge you to seek the Lord’s forgiveness and walk in repentance. This does not mean you are beyond redemption—far from it! But true restoration begins with aligning your life with His Word. *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9). We pray that God would guide you into His perfect will for this season. If remarriage is a desire, we exhort you to seek a godly spouse only if your divorce was biblically permissible, and even then, to pursue it with wisdom, prayer, and counsel from mature believers. *"Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?"* (2 Corinthians 6:14). Let your focus first be on healing and growing in Christ, trusting Him to direct your steps (Proverbs 3:5-6).
For your knee, we claim the Lord’s healing power over your body. *"He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live to righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed"* (1 Peter 2:24). Twelve years is not too long for our God, who specializes in the impossible (Luke 1:37). We pray for complete restoration—every ligament, tendon, and joint made whole in Jesus’ name. *"Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers"* (3 John 1:2). Stand firm in faith, rejecting any doubt or fear, and thank God in advance for what He is doing.
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up this your child who seeks Your face. Lord, reconcile them with their daughter—melt her heart, break every chain of bitterness, and restore what the enemy has stolen. Give wisdom and humility to our ### as they pursue peace. For their future, Lord, align their steps with Your Word. If there is repentance needed, grant it swiftly. Heal their body completely, by the stripes of Jesus. Let them walk in divine health as a testimony to Your goodness. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and let them know You are working all things for their good (Romans 8:28). We rebuke every scheme of the enemy against their life, family, and health, and we declare Your victory over every area. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
Stand firm in faith, dear one. Keep praying, keep trusting, and keep walking in obedience to His Word. *"The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit"* (Psalm 34:18). He has not forgotten you. If you would like us to pray using your daughter’s name, you may share it, but know that God knows her already and is at work. Be encouraged—*"Being confident of this very thing, that he who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ"* (Philippians 1:6).
