Please pray for me for a new job role - ###

Disciple of Prayer
Please pray for me. I lost my job in April 2026 and after 5 months still have no offer. Pray that God would have mercy and provide a good, stable job soon, so I can return to work and pay my bills. Pray also for peace and strength as I wait. Thank you and God bless you.

We join together with you in prayer before our Heavenly Father concerning this long season of waiting since you lost your job in April. We know how heavy these five months without an offer must feel as bills continue and uncertainty grows, and we bring your need for mercy, provision, and a good stable job before the Lord who sees and cares for you.

We are reminded of God's faithful provision and His peace in times of waiting. Scripture tells us But my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19 and Seek first God's Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Matthew 6:33. The Lord does not forget His children, and He knows your need for work to provide for your responsibilities. We also cling to His promise of strength and peace while you wait, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7 and Fear not, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10.

We noticed your request speaks of God and asks for His mercy, but does not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we gently want to share why His name is so essential. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 and There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. To come to God for mercy, provision, and peace, we come through faith in Jesus Christ, who died for our sins and rose again, and who invites us to trust Him as Lord and Savior. If you have not already, we encourage you to place your trust fully in Jesus, confess Him as Lord, and bring all your needs to God in His name.

We now pray together for you.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and lift up our brother or sister who has been without work for these many months. Lord, You know the burden of waiting, the financial pressure, and the longing to return to work and provide. We ask for Your mercy and Your open hand of provision. Lead this dear one to the right job role, a good and stable position where they can use the gifts You have given them, work diligently as unto You, and have their daily needs met. We pray You would open doors that no man can shut and give favor in applications and interviews, and grant wisdom to know the right opportunity when it comes. In this waiting, pour out Your peace that surpasses all understanding and renew strength day by day, so that weariness and discouragement would not take hold. Help them to cast every burden on You, to seek first Your kingdom, and to trust that You are working all things together for good for those who love You. We ask this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and Savior, Amen.

We encourage you to continue to be diligent in seeking work while also resting in God's timing and goodness. Continue in prayer and thanksgiving, stay in His Word daily, and trust that He is your ever present help. God is able to provide exceedingly more than we ask, and He will sustain you through this season. Keep looking to Jesus, and may the Lord grant you soon the joy of a new role and the peace of knowing He is with you every step.

We've been thinking of you since your note came in. Five months is a long time to wait after losing your job in April, sending applications and hearing nothing back while bills keep coming. It's understandable you are asking for mercy and for peace and strength in the waiting.

A job loss touches more than income. It can shake how we see ourselves and our place in family and community, and the long search can swing between hope and frustration. If you have felt that up and down, you are not alone, and it does not mean you have failed.

As you continue to look, two things have helped many in this stretch. First, keep a simple daily rhythm that reminds you your worth is not measured only by a paycheck, time with the Lord, time with people who know you, and work you can do with your hands each day. Isolation makes the wait harder, so staying connected with a pastor, former coworker, or small group where you can talk honestly about the search can be steadying. Second, name the most pressing financial pressure right now and get wise counsel on it, whether a trusted advisor, a nonprofit credit counselor, or your church's benevolence team, so you have a clear next step rather than carrying all the what ifs alone.

Father, we lift our brother to You in Jesus' name. Have mercy and open the door to stable, good work in Your timing, and provide for his daily needs. Guard his heart with Your peace and renew his strength as he waits. Give him wisdom for each application and conversation, and surround him with encouragement. Amen.

We have heard your burden and we bring you before the throne of grace with thankfulness that you have asked us to pray.

We pray that the Lord in His mercy will open a door for a good and stable job for you soon, that He who knows your need will provide for your daily bread and enable you to meet your obligations and to return to useful labor. We ask the Lord to guide your steps, to grant you favor with those who make decisions, and to place you where your work may be done faithfully to His glory.

We pray also for that peace and strength for which you ask while you wait. The Scripture says, You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. That perfect peace is a present possession even when duties press and sorrows surround, for the blood of Jesus whispers peace within and to do the will of Jesus is rest. May the Lord keep your mind stayed upon Him and guard your heart with His peace which passes all understanding.

This waiting is not unknown to our God. He is a waiting God who waits to be gracious, and His people are a waiting people who wait upon Him in hope. The Lord turned the captivity of Job when he prayed, and our longest sorrows have an end when God has accomplished His purpose in them. Like Job, who sinned not nor charged God foolishly in all his losses, may you be upheld by divine support, and may you find that even as your strength is tried, the Lord renews strength to those who wait upon Him.

We ask that in these five months of trial and in the days to come, you may know fresh oil and renewed hope, that your trust may grow more vivid as you see the Lord's hand, and that whether the answer comes quickly or after further waiting, you may be kept in childlike confidence before Him.

We commit you to Him who is able to do abundantly more than we ask, praying that He will provide work for your hands, peace for your mind, and strength for each day. May the Lord bless you and keep you, and cause you to know that He is near to all who call upon Him in truth.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Thank you for sharing your burden and allowing us to pray with you in this difficult season of waiting. To lose work and to carry the weight of bills and uncertainty for five months is a heavy trial, and it is right to bring it to the Lord and ask for His mercy.

We join you in prayer to our Heavenly Father through Jesus Christ, who alone is our hope and salvation.

Father, have mercy and provide for Your child in this time of need. You see the loss of this job in April and the months of searching without an offer. You know every bill and every concern. We ask that in Your goodness You would open the door to a good and stable job, work that is honest and sufficient to provide for daily needs and to allow for faithful stewardship. Give favor in the search, wisdom in each application and interview, and guide to the place where You would have this one serve.

We also pray as you asked for peace and strength while you wait. The Lord gives a peace that guards hearts and minds, and He is the foundation of true joy even in uncertainty. We ask that He would quiet anxiety, renew strength each day, and keep hope alive. Help you to rest in His care, knowing that He provides for His own and does not forsake those who trust Him, and to use this time to draw near to Him, to be diligent and sober in all things, and to trust His timing which is always good.

May the Lord sustain you, provide what you need for body and soul, and lead you soon to the work He has prepared for you. We will continue to remember you in prayer. May God bless you and keep you in His peace through Jesus Christ our Lord.
