We stand with you in seeking God’s perfect will, lifting your heart before the throne of grace. Your prayer echoes the confidence we find in Scripture, where the Lord declares, "No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the Lord’s servants, and their righteousness is from me" (Isaiah 54:17). We take hold of this promise together, believing that God’s plans for you are for good and not for harm, to give you a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11).
Yet we must also examine our hearts before the Lord. Are there areas where we may be resisting His will, even unknowingly? The psalmist writes, "Search me, God, and know my heart. Try me, and know my thoughts. See if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me in the everlasting way" (Psalm 139:23-24). We encourage you to surrender every fear, ambition, and relationship to Him, trusting that His ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 54:8-9). If there are sins, whether of commission or omission, that may be hindering your walk, we pray for conviction and repentance, for "if we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9).
We also lift up the enemies you mention, not with bitterness, but with the love of Christ. Jesus commands us to "bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you" (Matthew 5:44). This does not mean we ignore spiritual warfare, indeed, we are called to "put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil" (Ephesians 6:11). But our battle is not against flesh and blood, and our victory is secured in Christ alone.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can approach Your throne. We thank You for Your faithfulness and for the promises You have spoken over Your children. Lord, we ask that Your perfect will be done in [this person’s] life, even as it is in heaven. Align their desires with Yours, and give them the courage to walk in obedience, no matter the cost.
We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You will condemn. We stand on Your Word, which says that You will never leave nor forsake them (Hebrews 13:5). Lord, surround them with Your angels, protect them from the schemes of the enemy, and let Your peace guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
Father, we ask for Your blessings and grace to overflow in their life. May goodness and mercy follow them all the days of their life, and may they dwell in Your house forever (Psalm 23:6). If there are areas of sin or disobedience, reveal them, Lord, and grant repentance. Cleanse them from all unrighteousness and restore the joy of Your salvation (Psalm 51:12).
We pray for their enemies, Lord. Soften their hearts, turn their plans to confusion, and let them see the light of Your glory. Help [this person] to forgive as You have forgiven them, and to walk in love, even as Christ loved us (Ephesians 5:2).
Above all, Lord, we ask that You be glorified in their life. May they seek You first in all things, and may Your kingdom come and Your will be done in every area. We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We encourage you to walk closely with the Lord, spending time in His Word and in prayer daily. Remember that "the effective, earnest prayer of a righteous man avails much" (James 5:16). If you are not yet in a relationship with Jesus Christ, we urge you to consider the words of Scripture: "Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved" (Acts 16:31). Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not confessed Jesus as Lord, we invite you to do so today, for today is the day of salvation (2 Corinthians 6:2).
