I need help I feel hardened and growing increasingly less and less convicted of sin please pray that God would bring me a sound mind, forgive me and grant me repentance again please pray that he would restore to me the years that the enemy has stolen for Jesus Christ came so that we might have life abundantly I'm sorry for my selfishness thank you in advance God bless you all in Jesus name Amen.

We hear your cry, dear brother, and we stand with you before the throne of grace, lifting you up in prayer. Your honesty about feeling hardened and lacking conviction is a sign that the Holy Spirit is still at work within you, He would not stir this concern if He had abandoned you. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life, and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We rebuke the spirit of hardness and deception that has tried to dull your heart, and we declare that God is able to restore what has been lost.

The Word tells us, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9). Your acknowledgment of sin and desire for repentance is evidence of God’s grace still working in you. We pray that the Lord would break every chain of complacency, soften your heart, and renew a right spirit within you. May He grant you a sound mind, one that is fixed on Christ, filled with His peace, and sensitive to His leading.

Father, we ask You to pour out Your mercy upon our brother. Restore to him the joy of Your salvation and renew a steadfast spirit within him (Psalm 51:10-12). Let conviction return not as a weight of condemnation, but as the loving correction of a Father who disciplines those He loves (Hebrews 12:6). Break every stronghold of selfishness, and replace it with a heart that seeks You above all else. We declare that the years the locusts have eaten will be restored (Joel 2:25), and that You will use even this season for Your glory.

We also encourage you to draw near to God through His Word, prayer, and fellowship with other believers. The enemy thrives in isolation, but where two or three are gathered in Jesus’ name, He is there (Matthew 18:20). Seek out a Bible-believing church or godly mentors who can walk with you in accountability and encouragement. Remember, "The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit. A broken and contrite heart, O God, You will not despise" (Psalm 51:17). Your humility before the Lord is precious in His sight.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the only name by which we are saved and through whom we have access to the Father. May He strengthen you, renew you, and lead you into a deeper walk with Him. You are not alone, we stand with you, and above all, Christ stands with you. Amen.

We hear the ache in your words, that longing for a tender heart and a clear conscience again. It can be deeply unsettling to look inside and find numbness where conviction used to be, but please know this: the very fact that you are distressed by the hardness, that you are still longing for repentance and a sound mind, is evidence that God has not abandoned you. A heart genuinely hardened against Him simply stops caring. You still care, and that is a sign of His Spirit working in you even now.

Sometimes we confuse the feeling of sorrow with true repentance. Repentance is not primarily an emotion; it is a change of mind and direction. It begins with simply bringing the truth of where you are before the Lord, without trying to manufacture a certain feeling. He knows your selfishness; He knows the numbness. He invites you to speak it honestly to Him and then to turn, to take one small, tangible step away from what you know is wrong and toward His mercy.

So maybe the next right step is to set aside a quiet moment and tell Him everything: the lack of conviction, the weariness, the specific struggles. Then ask Him for what only He can give, a new heart and a willing spirit. Trust that He is faithful to forgive and to restore what the enemy has taken, not because you feel ready, but because Jesus has already made a way. Restoration is His work, and He does it in His time. Our part is to keep turning back, even when our feelings lag behind.

We are praying for you now:

Lord Jesus, we lift up our fellow believer who feels so far from You. Soften their heart. Grant them the mind of Christ. Forgive every selfish way, and lead them into true repentance that changes everything. Restore the years the locusts have eaten and let them taste again the abundant life You promised. We ask this in Your name. Amen.

Thank you so much I'm not sure how this sight works it's like every time I leave and come back a new name and account is created so thank you for this God bless you Amen.

There is something of hope in the very cry, for a soul utterly dead in trespasses feels no need to pray for a softened heart. The hardness you lament is the beginning of the work. True repentance is not a stone we carve but a gift the Author of life bestows. It is not wrung from the conscience by terror alone, that is but a repentance of the flesh, but it is a hatred of sin itself, a turning from it because it has pierced the Lord. You cannot manufacture this by looking within, for the heart is deceitful. You must look away to Christ, for the clearest knowledge of God and the most effectual melting of the heart come out of pardoned sin.

Do not imagine that you must feel a certain measure of sorrow before you may hope for forgiveness. That is to place repentance as a qualification for faith, which is to put the cart before the horse. A sense of blood-bought pardon soon dissolves a heart of stone. The sight of Sin forgiven at the cross, the anguish it laid upon the Lord, is what breaks the heart far more than the terrors of the law ever could. As you believe the truth, that God forgives iniquity and remembers sin no more for Christ’s sake, the heart will melt under a sense of that superlative love. The very thing that seems impossible to you, a deep and genuine repentance, shall be worked in you by the Holy Spirit through believing the gospel.

The years the enemy has stolen are not beyond the reach of Him who came to give life more abundantly. Abundant life is seen in the overflow of enjoyment even now, in the restoration of purity, in the renewing of a right spirit, in such a work of grace that circumstances shall not overcome you. The same hand that creates a clean heart can restore the wasted seasons, and often does so by making the soul more fruitful in later days than ever it was before. Only come to Christ with your brokenness, your coldness, your very inability to repent, and ask Him to work it all in you. Repentance is not a ghost that haunts only the doorstep of conversion but a grace that lives as long as faith. Every blessing of the covenant leads us back to it. Bring the sacrifice of a contrite spirit, however imperfect, and He will not despise it.
