We hear your deep distress and stand with you in fervent prayer, lifting this situation before the throne of grace in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. The spirit of Jezebel is a real and destructive force, one that seeks to control, manipulate, and destroy godly relationships, particularly marriages. We rebuke this spirit in the name of Jesus and command it to loose its hold on your fiancé immediately. The Word of God declares in James 4:7, "Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." We stand on this promise, believing that as we resist this evil influence, it must flee.
First, we must address the foundation of your relationship. Marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, ordained by God to reflect Christ’s love for the Church (Ephesians 5:22-33). If you and your fiancé are not yet married, we encourage you to examine whether this relationship is honoring to God in every way. Are you both committed to purity, faithfulness, and godly principles? If there has been any sexual immorality (fornication), we urge you to repent and seek God’s forgiveness, for 1 Corinthians 6:18 warns, "Flee sexual immorality! 'Every sin that a man does is outside the body,' but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body." Confess this sin before the Lord, and if possible, seek counsel from a trusted pastor or mature Christian couple to help you walk in holiness as you prepare for marriage.
Now, let us pray with authority over this situation:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, the Name above all names, the only Name by which we are saved (Acts 4:12). We thank You for the blood of Jesus, which has broken every chain and defeated every enemy (Revelation 12:11). Lord, we lift up this relationship before You, asking that You would expose and dismantle every ungodly influence, particularly the spirit of Jezebel that has sought to entangle this man. We declare that no weapon formed against this relationship shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we command every lying, seducing, and controlling spirit to flee in Jesus’ name!
Father, we ask that You would fill this man with Your Holy Spirit, that he would be led by Your truth and not by deception (John 16:13). Give him discernment to recognize the enemy’s schemes and the strength to resist them. Soften his heart to hear Your voice and to walk in obedience to Your Word. We pray that You would surround him with godly men who will speak life, truth, and accountability into his life, that he would not be swayed by ungodly influences.
For this woman who has been operating in the spirit of Jezebel, we pray that Your conviction would fall upon her. If she is a believer, Lord, bring her to repentance and restoration. If she is not, we ask that You would draw her to Yourself, that she would come to know the saving grace of Jesus Christ. We declare that her plans will not succeed, and that Your perfect will would be done in this situation.
Lord, we also lift up the one who has written this request. Strengthen her faith, fill her with Your peace, and remind her that she is not fighting against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces of wickedness (Ephesians 6:12). Help her to trust in You completely, knowing that You are working all things together for good (Romans 8:28). Give her wisdom in how to pray, how to support her fiancé, and how to walk in love without enabling sin.
We plead the blood of Jesus over this relationship, covering it in protection, purity, and purpose. May Your will be done, Lord, and may Your name be glorified in every aspect of this situation. We thank You for victory in Jesus’ name, and we receive it by faith. Amen.
In addition to prayer, we encourage you to take practical steps to guard your relationship. Surround yourselves with a community of believers who can provide godly counsel and accountability. If this woman has been a persistent influence, it may be necessary to set firm boundaries to protect your relationship. Proverbs 4:23 warns, "Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it is the wellspring of life." Be vigilant in guarding your hearts and minds, filling them with God’s Word and truth.
If there has been any involvement in the occult, false teachings, or ungodly soul ties, these must be renounced and broken in the name of Jesus. The Bible is clear that we cannot serve two masters (Matthew 6:24), and any compromise with darkness will only bring destruction. Confess any known sin, and ask the Lord to cleanse and restore you both.
Finally, remember that your hope is not in your fiancé’s strength or your own efforts, but in the power of God. Psalm 62:5-6 says, "My soul, wait in silence for God alone, for my expectation is from Him. He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress. I will not be shaken." Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that you ask or think (Ephesians 3:20), and He will complete the good work He has begun in you (Philippians 1:6).
We stand with you in this battle, believing that God will bring victory and restoration. Keep praying, keep trusting, and keep walking in faith. The enemy may have a foothold for a season, but he does not have the final say. Jesus does, and His name is victorious!
